Soooo, i had no time yesterday. Who won? I'm a bit confused by the postings. Subaru in the Manufacturers and who won Nations?

Thank you!

Great to meet everyone I crossed paths with today!

The racing was fantastic other than Carrazza getting a 6star roulette shaft all day long, Cardinal getting gear issues and Sato being put sideways in a braking zone.

@Jules_r @sirjim73 @daan great company and listening to my constant stories.

@Tidgney and friend for entertaining my onstage rig inspection. Ps you definitely have the skills to create a DIY DD I showed you.

Karl(if you ever see this) appreciate the chat we had, we make mistakes but learning from them to grow and not repeat them is key, hope to see you bounce back after the issues this years qualification had, even if they were self inflicted.

The production of the event as a whole was outstanding. Totally different being there in person but in such a good way, the crowd reacting to the action was soo good.

Definitely recommend going to an event if you can!
Agree the production was superb. Only thing I didn't like was the blinding light show before the start of the stream which completely screwed up the 15 second countdown we were told to do before the start of the stream, but which never happened.
I refuse to take mine off

Pretty sure I backed both winners this time. Hopefully not too long to wait for the next update so we can get our gifts.

I moved along one chair for the Nations, because one light just kept blasting me like I was having another retinal scan. There's a good chance I was heard yelling "OW, ****!" when it first hit me.

I am currently checking out tickets for Berlin in September - are t-shirts not included this year? Almost all decently priced hotels are already booked, probably because Berlin Marathon is happening on that same weekend

No freebies. The t shirts were on sale for £30 outside the venue in the Airstream (about €35).

Apparently I picked the wrong Spaniard for the Nations Cup  but i did get 1m credits for picking Subaru :D
I ended picking Subaru as well but I think I picked the 4time winner from Japan. He has been my choice the last 4 times. I think I will choose someone else next time. But then he will probably win

Good to meet and chat with @CTRL Garage @kirethk @sirjim73 and @Jules_r
These events are awesome and the production team runs them so well... I always enjoy them immensely! But it's also the people you meet that make them so special and London was no exception! It was great to meet a few GT Planeteers - @sirjim73, @daan, @CTRL Garage and @Cbrownie_... so thanks to everyone that I had the pleasure of chatting with at the event (and over breakfast @Famine - next time bring @Jordan :) )

I was curious about this - looks like they're running, if not the exact current in-game BoP (doubtful, the Subaru is too fast), at least one around the current power figures rather than buffing it back up after the complaints.

P1 in the world in the TT is a 1:54.4, looks like pole will be a high 1:54 or low 1:55.
I am probably not allowed to share the exact values which were used for this event. However, a custom BoP was used and they have been using a custom BoP since the 2022 World Finals if I am not mistaken. Even the slipstream used for this manufacturers cup race was different than the one from the daily race

Hello, everyone! Been a while.

Long story short, last year, I organized a GT get-together for the Montreal live event via a Discord group. We ended up being able to find other people at the event and even organized an AirBnB.

With one of the live events in LA this year, I went ahead and created another Discord group for those going or thinking about and are concerned about costs and transportation.

If you want an invite, you can message me directly.

Sorry if this has been asked in here already, but if you attend one of these events live, are you allowed to film inside the venue?

I don't believe there's been a restriction on doing that as far as I have heard (Think I've even seen some clips from the previous events), but I could be wrong.

I think an exhibition will be added at the end of September with the update we will do
I wouldn't hold my breath. It seems like time trials have replaced online championships, as they encourage greater player engagement. There aren't any time restrictions in time trials, like their are with online championships. The championships usually require players to arrange their daily routine around the championship schedule. Because the 2025 Toyota GR Cup has been removed, there is a massive void between the last official manu/nations season until now, that the Toyota GR Cup would have previously filled. It gave us something to do over the summer months. The fact PD haven't bothered to replace it with an exhibition season is absolutely baffling to me...

Probably also helps that in addition to the Time Trials being far less urgent and less of a time sink (Unless you really want to), the payout for Silver or Gold is a far easier (and closer) incentive for people to reach for.

Also TT doesn't require PS Plus subscription.

If anyone is wondering, here's the ("reassuringly expensive" but nice looking) t-shirt.
Sadly, it's about to be less exclusive 😪
[Biggest disappointment in London was not having any VGTs on display, though we did get a Valkyrie
