Has it been broken for both Round 1 and Round 2 because it ended up being too much for the Gran Turismo servers to handle both times?
 
By the way, I got my one million credits in the game for correctly predicting that Porsche would win. 😊👍😉 However, it's getting hard to predict who the winners will be for the Nations Cup this year. Jose Serrano has been facing difficulties lately.
 
Is it possible to win the rewards cars now or not yet?

Remember the "under investigation" was for Serrano and Gallo.

I think the part that possibly deserved a penalty for Serrano was the slight bump during braking. That could very easily have been the reason Gallo went wide in the first place. The slight brush during the actual pass certainly wasn't a penalty.

So we're still not going to talk about Drumont? He didn't hit anyone?
The only one of those three, I can visually see hitting someone, is Kylian Drumont.
Now you can literally hit someone in a racing fight, let the other one receive the penalty, and then you win the race.
They were racing each other fairly in one of the most exciting races of the season, nudging and rubbing is racing, and no one was being punting out into the barrier there.
Gallo understeered in that situation.

Overall in the end the wrong guy got the penalty. Personally, Drumont deserved the penalty.

I must disagree ... I did not see Serrano deserving that penalty as @Gt6_Champ1980 has mentioned.

Very, very frustrating to see the 'inconsistency' of the stewards with the penalties (reminds me of real life F1 :rolleyes:)

If that is a 1s penalty for the ever-so-tiny bump on Gallo ... what about Drumont's bumping into Serrano's rear on lap 1 (2'52" mark in that youtube Highlights video) right after being overtaken, which resulted in Serrano going wide and losing P1 at that time. Not even an investigation. Duh!

Two different incidents, and the stewards tend to be lenient towards lap 1 chaos. Just because Drumont didn't receive a penalty on Lap 1, doesn't mean that Serrano shouldn't have received a penalty for the incident with Gallo.

If we had Gallo's POV and telemetry (which I'm sure the stewards used for their investigation), then it would be easier to determine if the penalty was fair or not. I guess we just have to wait for them to upload the replay of the event in GT7 (in Dynamic Viewing). One thing is certain, the penalty did rob us of a good battle on the last lap.

Regarding the Viewer's Campaign, I was able to submit my entry just a few minutes ago. Just go to the world map, press on the "Gran Turismo Live" button on the top right, and then "Watch Programme". From there you can submit your entry to receive the two stealth cars by watching each stream for a few seconds.
The two cars will only arrive on September 1st, though.

That Drumont/Serrano incident was not lap 1 chaos, c'mon, that thing happened on turn 6 between the two leading cars, not turn 1 or 2.

I'll repeat myself. One thing I call for on any stewarding that is part of any sports discipline, be it motorsports, basketball o soccer is consistency in the 'officiating/stewarding', always. Ideally, across the different events, but surely within the same event!

It was indeed a brilling race by the top 3 at that moment, and any of the 3 would've been a deserving winner. I just feel Serrano paid too steep a price because someone decided to apply different rules in the same race. Unless we see otherwise when the dynamic viewing is available, that is part of my discontent as a fan watching the event.
 
If they also penalized Drumont for bumping into Serrano on that incident where Serrano punted Gallo (which was a hefty nudge from Drumont), that would secure Gallo's victory most likely, and I guess everyone would feel it was robbed/favoritism.
 
Just hopped on and watched the races. Suzuka was excellent with a real tasty finish - as too was Fuji. Excellent racing and a quality reward for tuning in 😎🥳
 
The most right one is bugged for me, it’s a 2 second video and YouTube afterwards shows some basketball game live stream 🤣

Either way I got that “entry registered” mark even from those 2 seconds so all is good 😎

If this will be applied during the GTWS on line races, I am wondering how much will impact the overall race experience considering some drivers' behaviors where those are deliberately killing others' race...

(I hope in an improvement could being more effective of some strange penalties rules)

Could I be having lots of trouble as a controller user because I get sorted with players using mods or something?
 
Not at all.

The controller just has a huge drawback in how it handles turning, as it can't turn the whole wheel, compared to users who use a wheel.

This makes some high speed sections inherently slower on a controller.

But as an example, Calster, one of the GTWS participants, got there with a controller.

Strange. I am using a wheel normally and went to the new Autopolis TT. Tried on a wheel and then picked up a controller and right away was 2 sec fasted

Ahaha, then my friend, you're a freak of nature!

If you're having such a huge difference in a lap, you might need to spend more time getting used to the wheel.

Maybe, but till today on av I was 1.5% off the WR using a wheel. But agree, I need to practice more to be faster. A lot to fix

I believe it is indeed being applied? I let my online subscription lapse but I'm seeing stuff on Twitter and the website doesn't show the damage setting, presumably because they forgot to add Championship there.

Yes, they are using that damage setting in the GTWS exhibition races starting tomorrow

Since I'm away on vacation & did not pack the 4.5 kg PS5 in my suitcase, I'll download livery similar to the cars we could get for free by watching 3 seconds of Gran Turismo World Series...!!!

Since Dynamic Viewing is now up, here's an attempt at chase cam onboards at three parties involved:


Also, Sam Mitani's official race report somehow thought the collision was Serrano vs Drumont, despite the investigation being Serrano vs Gallo.
