Hmm... Maybe they decided to have Samuel Moreno and Antonio Santos stand in for the absence of Calen Roach and Mateo Estevez respectively because they're raising the standards for the Gran Turismo World Series and want the highest-ranking players from the online qualifiers to compete since Samuel Moreno was the highest ranking BMW driver from the EMEA region and Antonio Santos was the highest ranking Lexus driver from that region?

Had to check if I picked him.

They've hidden it in the pre-roll, but looks like the GTWS is picking up a 7th sponsor, there's another slot to the right of Moza:

Yes there is a new sponsor listed on the screens outside the venue.

PD collecting all the wheel manufacturer partnerships like they are completing the sim ecosystem Pokédex, apparently.

Viewership for Round 3
  • Manufacturers - 7.9K
  • Nations - 8.6K
  • However, Manufacturers had more feeds over 1K as the German feed peaked just after the chequered flag
  • One more Italian decided to tune for the Nations Cup compared to their neighbours in France (French comfortably beat Italians during the Manufacturers)
Predicted Ferrari for the manufacturers but Danny's win (on their birthday weekend nonetheless) was great to see as well. And a classic Miyazono strat to top it off!

However, have to wait until December to drive the M5 :(

Well, I didn't win any money, but Solis/Subaru and Miyazono is a bit of old-school quality.

And at least the Viewers Gift worked on the day this time

Onboards of Nations Grand Final's final turn controversy:

I assume Nico already had a different complaint ready to go if they penalized him?

I don't like that that kind of move is accepted now but it is, mostly thanks to F1's asinine "has the corner" rules and the legions of F1"fans" that don't know other motorsports or racing prior to 2019 exist. So I guess my qualm is more with society than with the stewards.

Yeah, it feels like at times he complains just to complain.

Except here's the issue from what I can tell from this situation:

- Urra attempted this move in a corner where as far as I can tell from all the races I have both watched and done, it has never worked there so why even think this time would be different.

- He attempted on someone with tires that weren't warmed up (Literally JUST out of the pits) so him washing out on corner exit was always a possibility regardless of how wide that corner is (No amount of championships is gonna stop that)

And as long as I have been watching, Miyazono doesn't tend to be THAT kind of driver to make that kind of move (hell if anything, he's been a victim more often of driving himself and surprisingly hasn't complained despite having plenty of reason to do so).

Basically I think that, in both real and virtual racing, if someone is alongside you and has gotten there fairly without dive-bombing, it should be your responsibility to avoid him (and vice versa) no matter where he is. But the FIA stewards these days are too afraid of online whining to give out any real penalties, and I guess everyone else follows their example.

Wow. My predictions were wrong this time and Porsche's winning streak has finally been ended. For Round 3 of last year's season in Los Angeles, I was expecting Daniel Solis for Subaru to win, but Angel Inostroza for Porsche won instead. For Round 3 of this year's season in Singapore, it was the other way around. Angel Inostroza still did a good job, but sadly, he didn't meet expectations this time since his car isn't as good as it used to be... I was also expecting Jose Serrano to win for the Nations Cup, but he had some trouble in the sprint race at the new SUGO track and finished in eighth place. He was amazing in the Grand Final at Circuit De Sainte-Croix-B Reverse, moving up all the way to second place, but he still lost to Takuma Miyazono. Still, Serrano is the points leader for the Nations Cup right now.

To be honest I think Miyazono underestimated of how close Urra was and moved over onto the racing line thinking he was clear.

Racing incident in my opinion

0.124s off getting 1m credits, but happier for Solis :D
I was tempted to ask you about Serrano which was the favorite overall or here on GTP? But second place is not a bad guess even no credits for me either.

Way late in watching these.

Congrats to Solis, that cat wears his heart on his sleeve and you can tell how much that meant to him. All by less than 1/8 a second is crazy. Also shout out to Simon who went from Q9 to P4; great drive from him.

I don't really get a lot of excitement from watching these RB cars over and over and over again. But the last couple laps made it interesting, and oh the drama. Hard call to make. The driver in me says Miya should've left a car's width on the outside all day as Urra was definitely there. You can't just push a competing car into the wall like that. Last lap last turn all bets are off but he should've left the space.

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

Gran Turismo World Series 2026 Round 3: Finding Solis in Singapore

The Gran Turismo World Series made its first stop in Southeast Asia on Saturday, with Round 3 taking over the Sands Theatre at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. Subaru’s Daniel Solis won the Manufacturers Cup from pole, and Takuma Miyazono’s surprise three-stop strategy took the Nations Cup in a wild final that ended with contact at the last corner.

I did't win a single Credit... but I'm happy for Daniel Solis. :)
