Looks good, I hope its as good as RSC.
Heck yeah!! Rallisport Challenge was one of the best off road games ever made. At least in terms of xbox. If this game is really really good I could consider getting an xbox360 just for it. They just dont make enough cool off road games.
Did you see all the trucks in those 2 vids??!!! There had to be over 25. :) Sorta reminded me of Test Drive Off road where you could free roam the entire map in an off road vehicle.

Kick ass, well when you get an X360, you must let me know! I'll have to play a few games with ya. :D

I think the trucks look quite good !...

And the environments in the HD trailer are stunning...

But - and as always, there's a but... If this game doesn't have some half decent damage model - it'll be worthless... GT4 could get by without a damage model since it's mostly on-road based. But in an off road environment, you have to be careful where you go and what you decide to drive around - or through...

I think the trucks looked quite nice too. I dont think damage is really necessary. It woudl be nice but games like Smugglers run and Test Drive Off Road didnt have damage and they were really fun. Test drive had some minor damage like parts falling off. I still a lot of fun with my friends driving around the huge levels climbing-jumping hills, playing in mud holes, and driving into the water. :dopey:
I would like to see realistic chunks of mud flying in the air and covering vehicles but I know that is just not going to happen.

Looks like a less suckey 4x4 Evo game, I'll check this out when it does come out. I didn't mind 4x4 Evo, I just thought it was lacking in a lot of areas.

They look good, they just need more detail, and are too "shiney".

The game looks absolutly stunning and it will be a blast to play this game online imo.
Let's hope they get the gameplay right....

WOW those environments look pretty open to me ;) Looks pretty stunning. Yet another game pushing me towards getting an X360 with my tax return money.

Those are the best pics I have seen so far. This is another 360 game I would buy for sure. There are a lot of great pics in the link he provided. At least 50 more pics in there. 👍

could be fun... gameplay seems rather vague and quite repetitive... not real talent involved... just go straight as much as possible... could be fun... but could also be dead boring.

I think that game has a huge potential, both online and offline. There is a lot to discover, especially if the environments are as huge as they seem to be.

Who knows? Maybe the game features a sort of track/lanscape generator. Think of it. 20 players online, a random generated area and right before the race starts ( while it loads for example) you get a 30 second quick view on a map of this track. Then the 10 min race starts and there will be several groups who take the obviously best ways, while maybe some individuals will try routes, that in end turn out to be as fast and we have a close fight for the win.

Pure speculation by me and maybe only wishful thinking. But when I have a look at the pics, I think that there is enough potential for an experience like I described. And that would be awesome imo.

Anyone have any more information about this game? Or a rough release date? The sites havent even really updated at all.

I wish I had... just looked at the pics again, and what should I say, it still lookes totally awesome.... I guess we'll have to wait...maybe there will be some updates in August, since there is Europe's largest game expa, the Leipzig Games Convention....I'll be there as every year and post an update if there is sth to say....

Anyone else notice that in both trailers they drove right through fences? They need to work on making the environment react to the trucks. They probably would have ripped right though those fences, but they should also show the grasses in the field being ran over instead of the trucks just going through them. Looks like there is some potential here, but I'd like to see it be a little more realistic. A Ram 3500 isn't going to be able to land from that much air and continue on its merry way like it was a speed bump. Too many identical vehicles in each of those trailers too. Like four Lexii and the rest were the blue ones (Nissans?).
