While I can't find any reports of a Turkish OXM (thanks to this), I have found out the guy on GTA Forums who says it's not true lied about their not eve being any Xbox 360s for sale in Turkey, and that there are gaming magazines available in the Middle East which may have come from there.


While I'm 50/50 now that you've told me that, I would think ALL of these trusted websites would have reported the hoax. I mean, yes, we had a bunch of websites reporting our wishlist, but there's a lot more on this.

I suppose we'll see.
 
I'm really starting to hate having both consoles. I don't want to, but I may wind up getting the 360 version because of the extra content. Gah...
 
I think we should all boycott Microsoft by getting the PS3 version and screwing them out of their $50m “investment”. :p

Im doing my part.

Since PS3 release ive personally sold 60 odd PS3's and only 2 Xbox360's. Store wide we have done 100 - 110 PS3's to about 3 - 5 Xbox's.

Go the PS3!

For those of you who haven't seen it yet, there's a youtube audio/interview clip about GTA4 that doesn't really reveal anything but is nice to hear what people have to say about their experience with the demo.

Top post, McLaren! I love everything I hear, and because of this, I'd hate to think this is just a mere hoax. However, I've not seen any news for, or against, this news, so it's a bit in the dark.

Fantastic, though, if it were to be true.

Also, apparantly the "exclusive content" so far offered by Yahoo! which was highly anticipated by GTA 4 fans turned out to be nothing more than a short, crappy "history of GTA" article..

Not really worth reading.
 
I thought that girlfriends were confirmed to be in the game, I know it's something many people didn't like but it's also one of things that you don't have to do. I also hope they aren't seriously considering getting rid of the HUD, that was one of the most annoying things about the getaway...

Also, you are correct about the girlfriends thing, which makes it seem a like a bit of a hoax, but it may just be a badly-worded statement..

Either way, from the get-go I've expected that when you shoot someone in the leg that they'll limp. Also, I expect with the non-linear, newly improved missions, that the advanced time-based missions bit will also turn out to be true. So even if this is made-up, don't think that none of those things will be in the game, as they all could be very good guesses based on previously-released information.
 
I think only parts of it are true. AOTS quoted, (as they said, some of the newer info) in part of their quick interview with Houser, that missions might be timed-based, and that running over someone may leave disturbing results.
 
The only new news that came out of the interview was that not only will Niko come to Liberty City because he got conned into it by his cousin, Roman, but he will also be coming to escape a dark past and because he is "looking for someone".

Also, the screenshot in the car isn't the best quality, either, but I like the little side-glance at the mirror as the cop aims his gun at the car. The hitman screen is quite cool though, and definitely doesn't look like it came from PS2.

All-in-all, Yahoo's lousy coverage has been extremely overhyped, but the good news is that the new trailer goes live in less than 4 hours! I'll take a look at it in the morning, however, because I'll be sound asleep.

There's been a lot of chat about that picture. Most people seem to think it looks rubbish, with pretty poor textures in places : his hand, the "other" guy's face etc. Interestingly it is no longer on the official R* GTA4 website where it was original shown; they have removed it. Now why they removed it is anyone's guess, but it could be that they weren't happy about the picture itself, or perhaps the reaction it received!

2nd: Niko now totally looks like that Russian actor. God, what's that movie he's been in that makes Niko look like him.

Trailer 2 kicks major ass! Plus, the little (or big) bird looks awesome! And for some reason, Niko's voice when angry sounds better than any other character. And the movement! It all looks so real.
Rockstar has a jewel on their hands.

Just watched it on Yahoo Games, really low quality but got the gist.

Looks cool :D Got to see some action finally and the way the vehicles took the bullet damage is very nice: quite Driver 3-esque.

Gotta love the detail esp. on Niko himself; the lighting kicks ass; the cars have their boots/trunks open; and Niko has a bag - so hopefully we can carry stuff around in it :)

The physics are just amazing! The cop crashing and flipping...those kinds of physics will lead to some interesting crashes.
