@Giancarlo: Man, I was just playing with you and you kept killing me. I was trying to do something with my friend and I had no option but to kill you. :grumpy: That one time you got on the chopper, we landed, I went to get a car and you RPGed me and my friend. Traitor!!

Oh that was a mistake...:lol: I wanted to shoot something, and all of the sudden you guys ran towards it.

You might have shot me 100 times, but it was nowhere sweet as when i nailed you guys when you came down the hill by the homebase. I shot the missile at the perfect timing (before you even turned towards the hill) and nailed your car. ;)

Is that the same as RRoD? Did you download version 1.0.1?

DRE = Disc Read Error.

The only 360 game I got DREs with was Dead Rising and I got them every few hours play, but with no other game. In my case it might have been a faulty disc instead of a faulty drive.

Your saying you would have liked an opera station? Nothing like listening to Pavarotti while killing some hookers i guess:sly:
 
Are you serious, not having opera music in a game is lame?

Does it mean that the soundtrack from just about every other video game ever made apart from GTAIII is lame? Have you ever complained that the music from any other video game in your collection is lame because you can't kill people to opera music?
 
Has anyone noticed that you can go into a clothing store, buy $800 dollars worth of clothes, rob the place, and only make off with $78? Where'd the rest of my money go?
 
After numerous goes i finally beat three leaf clover. The reason i kept failing isn't what your thinking. Its not that it was really hard, but it was allot longer than others. Every time i would get close to finishing it something crazy would happen and i would either die, kill one of my men, or the game would have a problem. The rest will be in spoiler text explaining what was going wrong. The explanations aren't extremely short, but i had to explain in depth a little on the first reason.

Well the first fail happened like this. I got all the way to the subway tunnel and then the guys yell for you to run into the tunnel. Ran in there and then turned around and killed all the cops. Now i try to run up the tunnel and its saying that im too far away from them, so i run back. I stand there for about 10 seconds and im thinking, ok i guess a cop is up there where they were and he is maybe stuck and can't get down here. So i run up there and sure enough there's the cop stuck doing the running man behind a bench. So i pop his top and run back to the guys. They still don't respond, i go back and make sure there aren't anymore cops....nope, no more cops. They wouldn't budge, they just stood there. So i shot them and it made me restart.




Second time i got to the tunnel like before and this time it didn't get stuck, but i got struck by a train from behind! I was shooting at the fuzz and heard that train sound and thought, i better look behind me. OHHHH! Too late...


Third time was due to my police car i stole as a getaway car blowing up about 10 feet from the marker at Packie's house....yeah it pissed me off.


Forth time was due to one of my little dudes deciding to run out into the street between 2 cop cars that i just threw a grenade at...yeah he died.


After all that happened one after another i turned the game off because i was starting to get pissed, came back to it and beat it first try with no funny stuff happening. Oh, on one of them when you pull up to the bank at the start i slung the suv into a 90 degree slide into the marker and when it went to the cut scene of us getting out of the suv the front passenger got slung out about 7 feet because of me sliding into the marker. That made me laugh a good bit

Beat the game tonight. Very interesting story, one that could go to the big-screen if done correctly.

What a coincidence, I beat the game tonight too. Well, not really, but I technically did. I got to what I think is the las mission. It takes place in the safehouse in Alderney, right?
 
Someone a few pages back asked if shooting helicopter pilots in the head brings them down. I've shot down 40 or 50 police helicopters just like that. Its easiest if you are under cover somewhere so the helicopter isn't directly above you. If it turns to the left, so the RHS cop is shooting at you, kill him. If it turns to the right so that the LHS cop is shooting let him shoot until the pilots head comes into view, then shoot the pilot right in his ear :sly:


I'm not having a go at anyone but so far (i've just chose between dwayne and playboy and done the clover mission) the missions are not exactly challenging. I've failed two -

MIGHT BE SPOILERS BELOW, I don't think its anything thats hasn't been posted here before, just trying to be careful. How do I do the highlight spoiler thing?

The one for Elizibetha where you get the sniper rifle, i didn't help my guy on the ground cause i didn't find him quick enough. Also in the strip club one for Dwayne, I just got shot too many times :ouch:

Both times i've nailed them 2nd go without any problems. I'm not saying i don't like the story or the mission, i think they are awesome. Something about the story keeps me interested more than the previous games which is strange because a few of the missions are almost identical, ie theres always a 'drive a bomb truck through town' and always a clover 'type' one (though its never looked that good before 👍) and there are others i've noticed too.
I usually completed the story just to finish the game but i actually care about some of the characters this time (except for Manny, i almost pissed myself laughing when his missions ended :lol:). I just expected it to be a bit harder, thats all.
 
I missed some decent driving parts to the missions... Maybe a better getaway scene or a good ole Grand Theft Auto part where you need to take a few cars in a certain time.

i never struggled with any driving parts, be it loosing cops or loosing the gangstas chasing you or anything.

Depends what you did. I took revenge, and the final mission ends at the Island of Happiness.
 
I was driving the huuuuge tugboat and upon trying to dock it there was a pretty bad slow down that wouldn't go away until I left the area. Anyone had similar issues?

Also:
Anyone met the serial killer that you keep reading about in the news? and if so do you meet him again? (I just met him yesterday as one of the random characters and as soon as he said something about headless I knew who it was)

I did revenge too. I've tried the mission 6 times now. Last time I failed was because of the stupid Sanchez. It got stuck on a wall glitching and I couldn't get on it. :(

I found the last mission to be not all that hard except when:

You fly the anniahlator and I thought at first you had to kill him with it and maybe i'm the only one but I hate hate hate the anniahlator I don't even think it's possible to kill anyone or anything with it, I haven't yet at least. I loved and miss the hunter

Other than that it was pretty smooth sailing... I took revenge as well. I actually tried the other once but hated the mission almost immediately because:

Phil is seriously the dumbest AI ever in the game. First off a few times he kept following me and constantly getting in my way so I can't aim and actually shot him a few times. Then I died from getting shot from behind because a bad guy snuck up on me and killed me and guess who was between me and the bad guy when I died? Yep, Phil walking around aimlessly not even shooting.

Taking the money ends the game the same way; just with chasing the other guy instead.

Uhh..
My friend tld me that if you make the deal with the Russians, Dimitri goes and kills Pegorino and Roman. So, taking revenge will be a less depressing ending I guess.
 
anyone seen a Futo GT if there is such a thing? I know there is a futo with some mods that you can steal but someone over on gta4.net thinks there is a futo GT
 
I'm sure you guys may know this already but even after you lose your first safehouse you can still keep cars there.

Also, does anybody know where/how to find that Futu GT?

the first part I did not know and that is very handy if definitely true

On the second par apparently what I thought was just pointless mods is the futo GT so look in Bohan

Its true. I've had a couple of cars there that I didn't care about too much in case they wouldn't stay there permanently, but they do.
