I'm at 80% now, finished all the Stunt Jumps. It literally took me a couple hours to find the last one (even though I was using a guide... :dunce:) But if anybody needs help, I'm your man. :dopey:
 
I'm up to 84% and I still haven't finished the storyline. I've decided to get some of the other stuff out of the way first.
I have to make a decision whether to do the drugs deal or get revenge on Dmitrti. I haven't decided yet which to do. I read a spoiler by accident somewhere else, but no details, that bad things happen either way. I think I'll go for the revenge mission
 
I've finished the main scenario in both ways. Will I move to a big mansion later?
I want pegoronis mansion. And some mansion has a chooper in the backyard. cool :)
 
Why are some of the contacts icons on the map in colour sometimes and black & white other times? I understand why some may disappear until you do some other peoples missions but the black & white ones can still be done.
Also sometimes the icons flash, what does that mean?
 
I was over at Gamefaqs.com checking something, and San Andreas is still one of the top 10 most used FAQs over there, 3 and a half years after it was released.
 
SA had some cool stuff in it, like the secret things. I remember when i was in the middle of the woods just running around on a dirt bike checking things out when a huge amount of fog rolled up on me really fast and then a car pretty much chased me out of the woods with nobody in it. Theres several secret little things in it that are pretty cool. I haven't played it in forever, also never seen a ufo, or a yeti. So, i still don't know if those are just made up or if they are actually real since i haven't seen them. If i get slightly bored of IV and it happens before prototype comes out i might just bust out SA and run around and see what i can find. I understand that R* wanted IV to be more realistic so none of the strange things that were in SA will be in the upcoming titles, sucks because i liked some of the little things like that. I also miss the parachute and the plane. They said to make it more realistic they took them out, i guess because they don't exist in real life?
 
Im pretty sure that they didnt include planes because of the whole 9/11 incident. I mean, it is, after all, New York City.

You could still fly planes into building in SA so I don't really see what the issue was with it. They probably just didn't have time to come up with proper physics or controls for doing it, which is why they probably weren't included.
 
No, I'm pretty sure they made statements about removing planes since it is a near-perfect representation of NYC (in terms of the sky line, at least), and San Andreas had only a few things based off of other cities and besides the few recognizable landmarks it was an entirely fictional setting.
 
the reason they didn't include planes is because it would be unrealistic and also because the size of the city would make it kind of pointless with only one airport...
 
Yeah i have to agree that planes would be silly with such a small map. San Andreas was ginormous, so planes were ok.

I would say that buying a ticket for a biplane between islands would be nice, but as has been said already there is obviously only one airport.

I played both revenge and deal mission. Now I continue to my game with revenge-after. I didnt finished the mission after roman died. What will happend then later in the game? for example will niko purpose to kate or kate stays as a normal friend like brucie. thanks
 
The map isn't that much smaller than San Andreas. I read somewhere that San Andreas' map was about 14 square miles in size and that Liberty City in GTAIV is about 10 square miles.

There's just a lot more crammed into a smaller area and no countryside or desert.

A quick Google also has a couple of sites claiming that True Crime had a 240 square mile recreation of Los Angeles. But that can't be right. 16 times the size of the map in San Andreas and 24 times bigger than Libert City? No way.

Liberty City doesn't feel that small, especially when you're driving across islands to get to a mission. But I prefer the variety of terrains in San Andreas.

Agreed, so did I. I enjoy a city but it's cool to be able to book it out into the back country for a little while to change it up a bit.

On the same subject, I'm also trying to find the HD version of the 2006 Coke "Video Game" commercial. The best I have found was oddly not on Coke's site, but here.


Lastly, I am also trying to find a better quality version of the MadTV spoof of GTA called "Grand Theft Auto: Kansas":



I realize it won't be in HD as MadTV isn't broadcast in HD, but anything is better than the scaled down and compressed versions on YouTube. 👎

Um...i can't decipher your grammar usage, but if you're trying to ask how taking the money ends the game...

Roman is killed, you chase two of Peggorino's men to where he and Dimitri are meeting up, then see a short cutscene where Dimitri kills Peggorino for no real reason. You then chase Dimitri's chopper in a speedboat, and are picked up in an Annihilator by Little Jacob. You both crash on Happiness Island, chase Dimitri and finally kill him. Finally, you get a phone call from, among some other guys, Kate. She offers condolences over Roman's death and says you can call her anytime.

Although, i called her once not too long afterwards, and i got the cut phoneline sound. :lol:

I'd believe the True Crime thing. That was a painfully big game with, IIRC, every real street in LA.
