I'm not sure if this is the next Grand Theft Auto..., 3 January, 2004
Reviewer: illmatic56 from Saarlouis, Germany
...but it seems as you know it.
Have you been informed by Rockstar or Take 2?
Ok, but now, the Customer Review:
I haven't played it (but I hope I'll be able to do it as soon as possible), but I played GTA 1, 2, 3 and Vice City. I heard the Renderware engine will be better than the one used in GTA Vice City - better graphic: more fun!
So, buy it, I know what im speaking of!
Grand Theft Auto forever!

This item will be released on 31 December, 2004
GTAGaming.com:
We have received word from Rockstar. The title of the next GTA will not be GTA IV: Sin City. They did not specify the correct title but if we follow logic then we can conclude it is San Andreas.
The release date is not correct either, but is close to the predicted date.

...techniquely Famine can keep this the way it is.

Technically, anyone can say anything they feel like, but so what? It don't prove nothing and it don't make any rumours more or less true.
Duck!

Anyway, most important point...
GTA5 looks like it's going to be set in a city bearing a striking resemblence to Las Vegas...
Good or bad? I remember Las Vegas from Driver 2, and it all seemed fairly dull. But I expect they'll be putting their own tilt on it quite severely - as they did with Miami/Vice City.
January 12, 2004 - While everyone else was running around doing some last-minute Christmas shopping, Take-Two Interactive registered 10 Grand Theft Auto-related trademarks on December 17 and 21, 2003, including both GTA: Sin City and GTA5. If you have been following the news on GTA recently, you probably already know this.
But there is more to the GTA trademark story than first revealed. More than three or four GTA-related name were registered in December. Eight of these trademarks were registered on December 17. The ones you already know about are GTA5, GTA6 and GTA: San Andreas.
However, several more were registered, including five more trademarked names, GTA: Sin City, Grand Theft Auto: Sin City, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and the entirely unheard of Grand Theft Auto: Bogota and GTA: Bogota.
It gets even better. Four days later, on December 21, 2003, when even fewer people were paying attention, Take-Two Interactive also registered another one entirely new prospective title, GTA: Tokyo and Grand Theft Auto: Tokyo.
It's clear Take-Two has long-term plans for GTA, this we knew and expected, given it's the most popular series on PS2 and arguably the most influential game in this generation of systems. And, without using too much brainpower, we knew that the franchise would continue moving from town to town, both exciting and smart.
With so many names trademarked at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office web site for the series, it's likely that two things are happening: 1) A few of these names are red herrings to keep fans guessing as to the next locale, or 2) they're names for games appearing in the long-term future. We tried to contact representatives at Rockstar, but at press time we have not had any official reply. We'll have more on the GTA series very soon.

But the next game wont be called GTA 5 because vice city wasent the 4th game.......it was more like a prequel to GTA 3....so the game will be GTA 4

Oh God, let's not let this thread turn into one of those in which you state what you want in the next GTA.
Where have you seen screen shots? This game isn't even close to release yet.Originally posted by HIGH ON LIFE
i've seen screen shots of an early version of San Andreas looked the same just the cars were glossy like real cars and buildings were incredible but stuff like the characters was still the same
