Not into anime, not into manga but I like crazy japanese games so a few weeks ago I saw that Gravity Rush 2 would come out early 2017 and I thought well let's check it out. Did a bit of research on the game to see if there would be a photomode -> YES THERE IS... and last week I got surprised with a demo. Downloaded it and I was blown away. Such a looker and the gameplay is amazing. The artstyle is different from what I know and it is refreshing to see the way gravity is used during gameplay.

Gravity Rush 2 continues the story of Kat and Raven and it is a follow up of the original Gravity Rush on PS VITA and the HD remaster on PS4 which both I've never played. Recently Sony has released an anime to fill up the loose ends between the 2 games.

I'll wait and see what reviewers think because the next few months are quite busy but I thought the demo was pretty good.

I hope there's a few good boss battles that make use of the various gravity mechanics and some decent content filling the game's open-world.

I'm generally not a fan of over the top Japanese games but I'm looking forward to seeing how this and Nier: Automata turn out.

I enjoyed the first game. I was surprised it didn't make me sick, but the camera infuriated me more and more as I neared the end of the main story. With that said I did tried the demo, and it actually turned out a tad better. But now they have this weird motion blur that will probably make me a little sick.

The camera surely needs time getting used to. It requires practice. I ran the demo of couple times and after a few tries I started to work better and better. I didn't notice the weird motion blur you are mentioning @Techy will try it again this weekend to find it what you mean.

I'm currently playing through Remastered and enjoying it quite a bit but the combat is thoroughly awful.

I'm imagining this game with Platinum-esque combat..

@Brend Don't expect Platinum level of depth for the combat system. Nier Automata (played the demo yesterday) is quiet similar to Bayonetta. I've (pre-ordered digital (who would have thought that...)) / bought GR2 yesterday because:

• I liked the demo a lot
• Positive reviews
• Something special and out of the ordinary
• I like the main character
• The March free DLC of Raven
• PhotoMode

Some impressions after 1,5 hours of gametime. The game really guides the player through the early stages. Still haven't unlocked the camera for photomode. The way the story is told is refreshing and the artistic style is simply stunning. There is a lot to like in this game. More to come

Photomode unlocked and it is a pretty neat feature. However I miss the option to pause the game and go into photomode to fiddle around with camera settings. It is in its current form pretty basic and the images are all in "insta" format.

This game is fantastic! Kat is a very fun character, the missions have been varied and the different locations are breathtaking. Also searching for crystals while using Gravity powers is a lot of fun. The controls take time but once adapted it is great. The camera can be a bit of a struggle sometimes which can cause orientation issues. À quick press on R3 solves this issue. So far I've been doing main missions only a it is a nice experience which builds up on intensity. A very refreshing game 👍

Played up to the neat little city last night, and man, it felt great to play. My face when loading it up:

Still love the art style, still love the unique way of telling the story like a comic book, and its great that they added more dialogue into the story (something I wished there had been more of in the first one). Controls with Kat while running seem a tad more wonky than in the first game, but otherwise its fun and a fantastically made game. The wait was definitely worth it. Bit confused at the start, but after 2 hours and finding out I was only at 10%, I'm excited to see how the story line develops.

I'll definitely pick this up at sub £15. I like Remastered but not enough to justify it being viewed as full priced game.

This isn't a remaster, that was the first game. This is brand new, and well worth $60. They've polished up a lot of things and it feels like a full price game.

I know it's a new game.

It isn't worth it for me, that's what I was saying. You may think it's worth that and fair enough but I'll be waiting for the inevitable huge reductions.

Fair enough. I loved the storyline of the first one so I am overly hyped possibly. The improvements they've made to the core idea of the game are nice though.

I'm also just glad to have the action/adventure games back as well as racers.

Ahhh yes there is more interest from others GTP members for this amazing and highly fun game. Just unlocked lunar style today and the place where you are going to unlock it is jaw dropping beautiful

I wonder if that place in the first game (the one where you find yourself frozen) makes a return. O_O It's neat that they included the previous game's outfits.

RAVEN'S STILL ALIVE! I know she's mentioned as being alive possibly but the confirmation is great.

Exactly. It's menus compared to the first one are much more lively too, with the trippy 70's background in the pause menu being my favorite.

The camera feature is a playful touch, and I'm looking forward to palying with it tonight.

Heksville and Raven! Are those ruins part of the city or was that another location? Also glad to see Heksville is still mostly in one piece lol.
