This reminds me I need to stop faffing about exploring and get on with the story.

I found Raven by the way! :D It was creepy seeing her under mind control, but its awesome that she's back again! :D The giant dog robot at the market was weird :odd: , but with Raven it was much easier to rip it apart. :D

Arrived at episode 17. Episode 15 I struggled for one hour to
stop those rockets
Episode 12 was a walk in the park compared to that one. Also the side mission
battle nurse caused me hell :ouch:

However it is quickly forgotten due to the great story and nice plot twist 👍

I really need to stop mining. xD That explains one of those outfits btw. :P Wait plot twist? :odd: :scared:

Great to see you enjoying the game. I did play the demo and got on with the controls quite well. Having seen some of these pictures here, I now know what the style reminds me of: Ivan Bilibin's fairytale work (though clearly more anime in style.)

It is such a beautiful made game and the missions give a lot of variation. I am not into anime but for this one I'll make an exception. Also the environments are very well done and all functions without bugs, patches or crashes. Rare these days. Only wished its photomode was more advanced.

Okay I don't mind a bit of spoiling, so could somebody explain what is happening to Cecie? Is she okay? :nervous: I'm at episode 14 and still hanging here about the crystal on her face and WHERE DID SHE AND RAVEN SENPAI GO?!

Episodes 10-12 are absolutely BADASS!

unfortunately up to chapter 17 no news on them. 17 & 18, you'll find the answers and oh boy.....

Well bloody hell, they came in just as I was fighting the world's most annoying vigilante, great timing mates. Hey the crystal on Cecie's face is gone? :odd: And what are they planning to do to Cecie?! :scared:

Just finished the main story. Has been worth every first day euro. Once you have unlocked Kats home you van replay the main missions already completed.

The final boss is pretty awesome and it makes you use all the gravity techniques. Only thing I didn't notice that it was the final boss. I understood when the endcredits rolled

None the less

I am going to take my time for the side missions and do some more photography :D

Finally finished the game (after many a distraction lol), and my God...post mission 17 it all becomes the weirdest experience ever. The ending was sad, yet hopeful, and overall a decent ending:

The battle against that gigantic fleshy...monster...thing...was absolutely insane. Holy crap that was taking the controls to their limits and it was making the PS4 regret its life choices at that point. Epic, epic ending to the game. However...

...is Kat, dead? :( She becomes a singularity to stop the gravity storm, but at the end Raven acts like she sees her and there's a teaser of Kat and Dusty's shadow in the last photo of the ending credits. I do hope she's alive, less so because a third game (though I'd buy it in a heartbeat), and more so because happier ending.

Excited to play Raven's DLC, and I have a feeling its gonna be a lot of fun. :D

So I finally got around to trying out the demo for the 2nd game, and damn this is fun. The art style is beautiful and distinct, not to mention a nice breath of fresh air from the photo realism that all other games are going for these days. Kat seems like a brilliant and endearing character, and the animations are a delight to behold. The whole gravity mechanic is complex enough for it to take real practice to master, thus ensuring that the game won't likely become a boring grind where you do the same thing over and over again.

The demo hooked me instantly, so I ordered myself a physical copy today. The game is currently on sale via PS Plus, but I want my physical copy.

I haven't played the 1st one, so I might not understand everything about the world and its inhabitants, but I'm sure I'll enjoy regardless.

They sort of explain some things, but maybe watch a cut scene compilation of the first game on YouTube. You will not regret buying this game. :D

After 55 hours, I've finally managed to Platinum the game. The Power Kat trophy was a big of a grind, as you need some 85000 Gems to power up all her abilities, and even if you manage to find all gems hidden in the world, and the ones you get for completing Challenges, you'll still only have about 65000 Gems. Replaying mission 19 five times gave me the remaining gems that I needed.

I really like this game, but it does have some odd design choices.

Positives:

- Best art design I've ever seen in a game.
- Best, most fun to use traversal mechanic I've ever experienced in a game.
- Interesting characters, with Kat being the clear favorite. Probably in my top five favorite video game characters ever.
- Lengthy story that offers a lot of variation, although not always executed as well as I would've liked.
- Awesome finishers. They're silly, but I love them.
- Some of the most interesting world design I've ever seen in a game and absolutely filled with detail.
- Nice photomode, enhanced by fun to use poses that you unlock throughout the game.
- Nice costumes, but could've had more.
- The fight against Raven is one of the most entertaining boss fights I've ever played.

Negatives:

- Side missions often feel tedious. The one with the dog was especially frustrating. The one where Raven tries to steal the package your transporting is pretty funny though.
- Game limits your powers quite often, and the game just isn't much fun when you're being limited.
- Awful stealth missions, and far too many of them.
- Some characters and plot lines feel underused/underdeveloped.
- Would've benefitted greatly from having more voiced dialogue.

Conclusion. A must buy for anyone who owns a PS4. It's wonderfully unique, full of charm and karisma, and just plain fun. While hampered by weird design choices, it's nowhere near enough to ruin the overall experience.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the amazing soundtrack of Gravity Rush 2? Specifically these two tracks.

Bought the first game too, as it is on sale on PSN.

Heads up. Sony is pulling the plug on the Gravity Rush 2 servers in January of 2018, so if you want to unlock the costumes and poses that require Dusty Tokens, you'll need to do so before the servers are shut down. It's a shame, but fortunately, very little of the game revolves around the online component.

http://nordic.ign.com/gravity-rush-...-online-services-closing-a-year-after-release
Dang, that sucks. :( Well at least, like you said, the game is essentially just offline.

Screw increasing the dusty token drop rate, which is only a temporary fix only applicable to those currently playing the game or those who get around to playing it in the very near future... they should patch the game to make that content unlockable offline, or failing that, patch it to just immediately unlock that content for everybody.

They should indeed. Are save files sharable? If so, I can share my 100% completion file with anyone interested.

I know you can back up save files to USB, but I'm not sure if they're locked to your specific PSN account.

I'd be interested in trying it though.

So I did a little searching on the matter, and it appears that save file are indeed tied to whatever account they were originally created on. So even if you transfer a save file to a USB stick and then plug that USB stick into another PS4, you wouldn't be able to use the file. It's times like these where I miss the PS2 memory card days :(

Played through the game again, and god dammit I love the last couple of chapters. They're just perfect. Snapped some new pictures too, with a bigger focus on action and set pieces.

Look what I received by mail today. Really nice artbook for any fans of the games. Contains general art, as well as concept art for both the 1st and 2nd game. Also contains a couple of comics, although the writing is in Japanese.

That Christmas costume needs to be a thing! So cute.

The online functionality of the game has been extended to July of this year.

Source: In-game announcement.

In case people weren't aware, two manga issues based on Gravity Rush exist. I've never been one for comic books, but as I'm currently studying Japanese at University, I wanted something Japanese to read, and that something needed to have Furigana for the Kanji, which these does.
The art style is quite lovely. It's both close to the source material while also having its own unique style. Additionally, it was about time that I got my hands on the superb soundtrack for the game. This whopping four disc collection is jam packed with some of the best video game music ever made.
