I like how the mid 90s Acura rims on it really inspire the F1 in it. ;)

I'd be embarrassed to be seen driving one of those T-rex's - they look like invalid vehicles, still, at least you could park really close to the supermarket front doors when you went shopping ;)

Aerial Atom

Top fun, road legal and no bodywork at all.

McLaren'sAngel, I've actually seen one of those T-Rexes on the streets of Houston once. And then, I seen one on Spike TV show "Ride with FunkMaster Flex" when rapper Ja Rule had one. That T-Rex has some serious spunk. Since it's a three-wheeler, I think it's qualified more as a motorcycle than a car. The front tires are reminiscent of an F1 car. So I think of it as a Formula One race car at the front, and a wild motorcycle that Valentino Rossi or someone would race. That machine is one of the wildest machines I've ever seen. And when my brother took me to school once last year, it was pretty low to the ground. So I ask myself... is that a race car? Or a motorcycle with a chemical imbalance?

That sucker is pretty loud as well. If ever there were a racing series devoted to these, I'd love to see them in action. May want to be careful with this one, McLaren. This machine is so wild, your cute little kitty in your signature might get scared by its performance. If I had the money (have to get a license first), I'd get one of those. Then find a race track to tear it up on. Then, I'll go . Dig, player?

Hiya! :D :O  Meow! (='.'=)

This bike thing sure does look versatile then...looks like fun! I would LOVE to get that T-Rex thing for Christmas! 👍 I would take it out on the street to get a cop's attention and see what happens! :O I think they would classify it something like a UFO, but to me..I would classify it as a "UMV"

UMV = Unidentified Moving Vehicle :O

The 1985 Ferrari 412i

When people saw this car, they thought nothing of it as a Ferrari. It was a greatly underappreciated sports car.
People seemed to forget this super car had a V12 in it producing 340HP.
In 1985, it had a top speed of 155 MPH.

This is one Ferrari many overlooked.

1987 Ferrari GTO Evoluzione
This Ferrari was definately overlooked. In fact, only 5 were built. This super Ferrari had a Twin-Turbo V8 said to produce 650Bhp! With a top speed of 229MPH!

If you see one, consider self lucky. Even if you see both. They are 2 incredibly rare Ferraris, and are really some of most powerful ones built.

The Ferrari GTO Evoluzione was a prototype race car, it was never road legal so a doubt that anyone ever saw one on the road. it was, how ever, the basis of the fabulous F40 road car.

The 288GTO on which the Evoluzione was based is a highly underated car too. Evo magazine rated it over the F40, F50 and Enzo for sheer driving pleasure.
It's one of the best looking Ferraris ever in my opinion.

The Ferrari 412i, Pantera and Aston V8 are hardly 'little-known' - they must have made thousands of each of these models!

I think the Ultima GTR has got to be one of the best least known supercars of the modern age. Probably my favorite of the lesser known super cars. Until i saw it in this thread i forgot about it :).

American mags have been doing a comparison between the Carrera S and the Vette z06. the Vette has been winning (mostly because it is cheaper and stuff), but the Porsche has been winning performance stuff like stopping and barely winning acceleration. I am just irritated by mags comparing the two cars. Who cares if they cost a gross amount different. I dont think a person considering a Porsche will really care about money. Infact, should a person considering a Porsche even seriously consider a vette. In my opinion they are too different to even group in a similar class. IMO the porsche has a way better engine even if it doesnt push out as much hp as the Vette's V-8, a way better chassis and engine placement, and although i dislike the watercooled modern day 911 flat 6 (i mean if they are going to water cool the engine, they might as well put a flat 8 or so back there and make the 911 a two seatdr like the vette). While I like the Posche's facelift, I think that the vette has lost some of its character by loosing its pop ups. I don't think that it will have an effect of the people who buy vettes, and definitely won't have the effect that Porsche's last facelift had on Porsche fans. Chevy isnt giving the vette headlights from some other and cheaper model. Anyways, I am a biased opinion, so you can ignore what i say.

yeah i dont really like the new headlights on the vette. im with you bengee. i think car and driver actually said the new vette was better. to me its like night and day.
p.s. thumbs up on the 944. (i have a 924) <8- )

2 things:

The359... isn't the Mullen M-11 a kit car based on the Pontiac Fiero Chassis? I'm pretty sure it is. No matter, really, any kit car based on the Fiero can be fast, due to it's great swap engine availabilty. People have been known to drop supercharged Chevy 350's in them. In that small of a car, with a fiberglass shell, it's fast.

Mike Rotch... once again, thank you. Although rare, the Bugatti line of vehicles is nothing short of performance driven street machines. And, you happened to have chosen my second favorite, right behind the Veyron. (I mean, what compares to a sexy Veyron?:D)

Hmm Lets see you guys named almost all of them so I guess its time for me to start.
There is the-
Venturi 400GT
Venturi Alquntia (SP? WAY OFF) BI Turbo
Vector M12
And all the other Vectors.

Any Vector is pretty much unknown. It showed Europe what we Americans could put out to them.

Also, when said the Ferrari, Pantera, and Aston Martin, we meant not lot of people even know what they are.

That Ferrari IS unknown. Why? B/c most people would never expect it to be a Ferrari. Today, people think of a Ferrari as a supercar. Hardly anybody today would even consider that a Ferrari.

Bertone Bat (exactly, what?)

Bertone Slalom, with an Opel badge. If anyone could tell me why, please do.

All of those are concept cars, I'm not sure if they can be classified as supercars (especially since most probably didn't have real working engines and transmissions...)

Ferrari Dino's. No one seems to know about the Dinos because they are 6-cylinders, but a 250hp 2.5 liter 40+ year old car pwns. Haha take that ricers for that hp/liter ****...

That Ferrari was sold mainly in North America, in its tens of Thousands! - it looked like a scaled up version of all the other Ferraris sold at the time - have you ever seen one? - if you had you would never mistake it for anything else.

The Tiger Z100WR as seen on TV (5th Gear with Tiff Needell breaking the world 0 -60mph record in a staggering 2.9 seconds in full road-legal trim.

The Tiger Z100 rear wheel drive Mk1 (with 510 bhp per tonne) as seen on TV Top Gear with Vicky Butler Henderson driving, this carburetor version's 0 to 60mph time is a staggering 3.1 seconds in full road-legal trim.

Tiger is confident that the 0-100mph and 0-100-0 times on the new Mk II Z100 will be staggering, even though never tested. so far we have not been invited to any of the tests organised by the magazines, maybe they know the outcome of having the Z100 in attendance!

The new MKII Tiger Z100 is fitted with twin Suzuki GSXR-1000 engines, which now give the Z100 600bhp per tonne and a lower finished weight that its predecessor, so it is expected to be quite a bit quicker.

The Tiger Z100 uses a modified R6 chassis; extra strength was needed in the chassis to take the phenomenal loadings due to the power and traction of the Z100.

Finish of the chassis and suspension is in powder coat, body work is as the R6 specification with main body in two pack paint spray finish to you colour choice, all wings are in carbon finish showing black weave, central tunnel and dash also are carbon finish.

The Suzuki GSXR-1000 bike gearboxes are used in the Tiger Z100, both driving into a bespoke transfer box. Sequential gear change is obtained through a split alloy gear lever mounted central tunnel; reverse is incorporated into the transfer box with a small alloy lever on right hand side of carbon tunnel.

The Tiger Z100 Mk II is only available as a factory built car and is priced at £33,000 excluding VAT, SVA and registration fees.

I've seen a few of them at a kit car show.
I'd still take the Caterham though.

Was that when Tiff broke it on the second run?
