The best song on there is Boulevard of Broken Dreams, IMO. I love this song. It is tied for my favorite Green Day song with Brain Stew.

Boulevard of broken dreams Is an awesome song. I kinda like Homecoming and Boulevard Of Broken Dreams the same now. I really like every song on the album. a couple of others: St. Jimmy, American Idiot, Give Me Novacaine, and Jesus Of Suburbia.

10 minutes isn't that long. I have songs that go for 20min in my playlist, and even those aren't that long in comparison to others.

Would those be Dream Theater songs by any chance? I just got their Live at Budokay 3 cd´s album, and man are those songs long. 6 music per CD WTF? But is pretty good music.

And I´m listening to American Idiot right now, sounds good. Green Day always does.

No, I haven't heard the album and I don't want to. I just wanted to know what the title of the album meant. As far as I can tell, Green Day is calling me (the buyer) an idiot. I would not buy their album.

I heard the single on Madden 2005. It sounded like electronic feedback or noise, so I disabled the song.

Just a pointer: Greenday, to my knowledge, are Americans too.

I've only heard American idiot so far, and it's, well, ok. I don't know if the rest of the album sounds like it, but if that's the case, I miss albums like Dookie.

They refer to a "redneck agenda." This is a reference to Bush. It's not too bad, they just call Bush a redneck.

Well, actually that 20min song I referred to is Pink Floyd - "Echoes". I do have about 4 Dream Theater albums though. Anything under 10 minutes is a sin for them.

Hey don't they sing that they don't want to be an American Idiot? The title of the album just comes from the single that was released to all radio stations so that people are familiar with it or something....

As far as the lyrics goes... They aren't saying that Americans (including them) are idiots... They are saying that they don't want to be a patriotic idiot that listens to whatever the government (and Bush) tells them to believe...

BTW... I really want to buy this damn album!! So far the only Greenday album I don't have is this, Nimrod and the Greatest Hits album...
