NICE find! 👍

Not been following this game for a while since i have a PS4 & XO, Are people expecting Codemasters to return to greatness or is this just another typical Grid/Dirt?

Hard to say at the moment if it really is gold, but it looks like a good change of direction. Humble beginnings perhaps.
A far cry from a sim or "true to life" racing. But like I said, looks like a good start. Codies could be on to something here.

Will codemasters make a new Dirt? I really hope they won't add too much other stuff it like Showdown. I want a classic rally only game.

You and ME both buddy!
It's depressing to know PC sim devs as well as PD/T10 focus only on circuit/tarmac sims (PDs rally attempt was decent, didn't grow though). We so badly need rally. And motorcycles. Gosh, why no bikes and rally cars?? Camoohh devs! :)

I recall Codies saying that they'd put bikes in a potential sequel to DiRT Showdown...

That's cool. I'm pretty sure they're going to be dirt or quad bikes. Depicting bike physics in a game is tough. If codies do feature superbikes, I just might pick it up.

Exceptions: PD did a pretty decent job with Tourist Trophy. One game where they almost nailed the engine sounds!

SBK 2001, AMA Superbike... all good titles.

Gosh, how I'd kill for a MotoGP simulation.

Looks like I'm keeping my PS3. I spy a GT500 GT-R. Will there be an actual SUPER GT licensed series or is it just loosely based off of it? Might be a bit early to ask, though. :s

I'm assuming that the livery editor for Grid:AS will remain unchanged with pre-set templates.

As far as I known there is no official racing series licensed. The cars that are found up until now are based on their official licensed ones. Not sure if they are a 1 on 1 copy.

I wonder when GRID or Dirt are going down the 60 fps road.. why does Forza have to dominate?

Looking good! I hope the console versions (specifically the PS3) will be able to maintain a rock-solid 30fps. Can't take another slideshow.

Yeah it seems to be shaping up well. Ohh that bumper view...nice!

Your avatar... is that a bike/rider from Tourist Trophy by any chance?

Thinking of getting this. Spent 22 pounds on a used grid 2 copy and was horrified. The handling was just 🤬 Horrendous. If I took a corner at anything over half speed, the car would just start sliding, the physics felt fresh from dirt, except way worse. The handling put me off the game, and it is defiantly the worst handling I have ever experienced on any racing game ever. :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:
Grid autosport therefore is a very welcome addition to the series. Great direction choice Codies 👍

Ahh man, I think you just saved my money. 👍 Bring on GRID Autoport! :D

Woahwoahwoah.

I'm not sure that that's technically possible...
Shift 2 is actually better handling wise, I mean even with shift 1, yes the handling was like WTF but with grid 2 it's just plain torture cos it's deeply annoying. Grid 2 everything, amazing graphics tracks and cars the one thing that let it down was the ******* handling and what a let down it was!!

I agree playing Grid 2 (PS plus) and it was terrible I gave up seems like easy corners cannot be taken full speed or the car says "No" and you crash into the barrier.

The handling was definitely off. Tyres broke away too easily resulting in snap oversteer... in cars that really shouldn't be wildly oversteering.

With everything we've seen and heard about Autosport, this should be fixed 👍

Well, everyone is talking about this game and someone on this forums recommended it to me as well, but I cannot be excited, to be honest. I always thought GRID was a nice game, though I only experienced it first hand until way past it's prime time (last year, mind you!). I saw it once at a friend's place and thought the whole career mode was awesome and car selection was just great, graphics and sounds were quite good as well so I bougt it. Sadly, it was lost in shipment and I gave up on it until I saw it like, DiRT cheap (;)) on Steam. I bought it, downloaded it, tried it, and ditched it after a couple of hours. The bloody stupid thing was undriveable. I had even more fun in Need for Speed: Pro Street, another "Oh, I'm a sim...well, not quite...BUT TRACKDAY BRUH!" game. Being thrown straight out of the box in a Dodge Viper and a 911 GT3 didn't help much either. It felt like NFS: Shi(f)t: Hardcore sim pretentions with a merely souped up arcade physics engine resulting in a frustrating unrealistically annoying experience where all cars handled like boats on ice when the driving aids were off. With driving aids on the game practically played itself, so there's no point in that.

I can see what the fuzz is all about, the game looks promising as hell but so did GRID and GRID 2. Here's hoping Codies get their act together and give us a fantastic and properly FUN experience.

Yes :)

GRID 2 never looked promising, at least in my opinion. The moment they started showing more and more of the game, you knew it would take a huge dump on what made GRID great. I agree on the physics part though.

Lol I wouldn't bother analysing tyre physics when nothing about the handling at all was remotely realistic, the way the cars swerved like dodgeball players when you tap the steering..... Arrrrrrggg :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

GRID 2 isn't bad looking at all. They've had a pretty solid graphics engine on their hands.

Bit of an exaggeration there, there was some sliding but certainly not around every corner. The touring car video looked very good to me, very much reminded me of the older TocA games. Not the most realistic handling in world but close enough to be challenging and fun.
