GRID 1 had a fairly basic livery editor, but it did the job. There were no options for body modifications or wheels though. I don't know about GRID 2, never played it.

Livery editor is in. As to the extent of body modifications, I'm unsure. You'd have to ask on the facebook page or Codies forums. Hopefully we'll put out some information on customising your cars before release.

Customisation is online only.

...now.... where are those headache pills?
 
lol... considering these beasts stay in 2nd for a majority of the time, I'm not suprised... :D
 
11 days for me. :) I'll probably spend most of my offline career attempting to become Ravenwest's most intimidating and feared driver. You know, even more so than Nathan McKane and Rick Scott.

@bluemoon_19: My apologies. I didn't realize you could use a DS4 with a PS3. :dunce:
 
Darn, two days before pay day #2... Oh well, I'll still buy it, but only by taking out of the car modifications fund.

Only works with some games. I suppose the advantage is it feels better to hold. I think if you google DS4 PS3 compatibility there is website that has a list of games.

Saw another vid showing tandem competition mode and was very disappointed:-( you dont get to experience door to door battles like in actual drift competitions. The cars (whether in lead or chase positions) are kept far apart in distance!!! Now why is that ??? Also the in cockpit view seems to have lost awesome details like the driftbox you see in GRID

Now why do they limit customization to online only. Its the same with GRID2 so in effect half of GRID2 gameplay is ruined for me cos I cant find anyone online to play with out here in Asia. Sucks to the core.

I think so. The career mode seems to focus on you joining other teams rather than making your own.

It's because you play as a driver being hired by existing teams. A driver would have little to no say in customizing the car.

You can only use custom liveries online. Offline you're racing for existing teams that already have liveries.

Ahh ok, makes sense. Let me be the first to say, I'm horribly colour blind and have zero artistic skill, so anyone comes up with some good "Team GTP" skins or better yet good "Team GTP Canada" skins and the cheque is in the mail. :lol:

One other thing, the livery editor is usable on PS3 and PC? Can you use a PS3 livery on a PC car and vice versa?
 
If we have a Team GTPlanet livery, what sort of colourscheme would we be looking at using? Black and white, spotty? lol.
 
I hope they have fixed the RaceNet sign in thing. No matter how many times I changed my password I could never get Grid 2 to sign in. I am going to place my preorder today pretty excited to get some extra life out of the PS3
