No, I haven't installed the patch. I haven't got the patch - I still don't have an intenet connection. I just thought that there might have been a window in which the bug operated, because it usually came up around level 9, but I got everything up to level 10, plus Open-Wheel to level 11 without a problem.

Well in that case there's still hope 👍 Better get that patch installed ASAP as soon as you sort out your internet.

Well, I have no idea when that may be.

On the plus side, I can now afford to take my time with the game. In order to get many of the achievements, I had to play short races on low difficulty settings to complete as much as I could in one sitting, and then hope the save file would still be there the next time I came back.

But now, I've gone back to the beginning. I'm doing a Formula C championship at full distance, with hard AI, no assists or HUD, zero flashbacks, and a forced cockpit camera. It works out to a 40% XP bonus, and it's surprising how easy it is to lose track of your lap count and position in the heat of battle. And there's way more pressure without flashbacks, so I really have to be careful judging my overtaking moves.

Well that explains it then. I thought it was another one, post-patch.

Tested finally and confirmed Autosport works flawlessly again. :D

Hopefully it stays that way. Now I get to fall in love with whining about the game again. I'll start with noticing that you apparently still can't do a custom race longer than 20 laps after the patch - not that I expected that to change.

I know I've annoyed everyone with my complaints about the AI but after a while of fairly good racing, I got struck by slow AI again. This time I was doing the 787B Cup in Career and during the 24 minute race I managed to lap half the field by starting 14th! The AI felt slow and fairly dumb throughout the race in general, they caused many crashes and drove very dirty, afterwards I checked their lap times and they were 2,5+ seconds slower a lap than me! I've never had so much pace over anyone on the grid, this time even the Ravenwesters were slow. And yes, my AI difficulty as always was on Very Hard.

Just spent a bit more time driving today and I must say the physics has been refined. The chronic understeer is more manageable now and the transition from grip to sliding is much more progressive. You can also hold oversteer slides more naturally instead of the on-off switch like before. The gear shift snap oversteer is still there sadly, but I'm used to it at this point. The Formula B is a nightmare to drive before, but I'm having loads of fun throwing it around Bathurst in this week's Racenet Challenge. The Nismo Z-tune is much more natural to drive also. Good job Codies 👍

Yes but i still don't think upgrades work!

Just tested this again last night and I can confirm it still doesn't work. Focus ST Touring at Brands Hatch: no upgrades 1.26.3xx, with upgrades 1.26.6xx. I doubt this will ever get fixed sadly.

anyone have an idea how many races it takes, clean races to improve one's color coded symbol post patch?

I think it is locked on the colour you had pre-patch. Even after a couple of clean races I'm stuck on green, while I have seen some users with a white symbol finish with half the car scattered on the track.

Online is so frustrating I left the game today feeling really angry. No wonder I decided to boost the levels with a friend to get the stupid 250 trophy.

I've only been doing weekly Racenet Challenges and I'm already level 70. In a year I'll get to level 250 without even turning a wheel online

It really depends on who you're playing online with, there's a few names I try sticking to, because I know what they're like to race with, and usually clean racers find other clean racers, and stick together.

Either that or use custom events, the level of driving in those rooms is 95% of the time way above the levels seen in the online playlists either that or friend the drivers in the GTP team

Online playlists are only a last resort for a race

Racing with collisions disabled is an oxymoron... it's simultaneous time-trialing, not racing. And no, you're not the only one. It can be nice once in a while, particularly after a really bad couple of hours of punting. But it tends to get boring really fast for me. Not to mention it's really distracting watching someone drive on top of you(not sure how it works in GAS, whether you can see people overlapping you or not but you usually can).

I'm Rank 1 online in endurance for Australia by a mile but only 22 in the world feels good to finally be top of the leader boards in something :D now that's what I call an achievement. Endurance racing is the only thing I enjoy online people are a lot more careful as they don't want to crash out early.

I should have bought this during the Flash sale yesterday...

The reviews on wikipedia weren't very convincing, so I decided to pass. Just now I just looked through the track list, and there are a few I would have liked to explore now. :indiff:

Anybody knows how much XP do you need for level 12 offline? Is it 2 million? And do you also max out the career progress bar when your reach it (the one which shows all 5 disciplines together)?

I've been mucking around with the Custom Cup, and I think I've found the makings of a great Cat-C Touring (and, I assume, Classic Touring) championship:

1) Abu Dhabi South Circuit
2) COTA National (Reverse)
3) Algarve National (I think - it's the reverse course with no chicane)
4) Jarama GP

I still haven't figured out the other round. If the Classic Touring DLC contains all of the Silverstone layouts, the National course would certainly be one of them.

In terms of AI competitiveness and damage yes I agree. But if you're talking about driving then its worlds apart.

i agree the driving/physics/handling in grid autosport is worlds apart and from gt6. it is much better than gt6
