I don't drive race or production cars around a track but my opinion is that the level of grip is very low compared to what I think real life would be like. Compared to other games anyway, like rally games, GT5 is very slippery compared to them. Most of it has to do with once grip is lost you end up just spinning of out of control even at very low speeds. Does everyone share my view or disagree?

I think GT5 is grippier than the rest of the games, but maybe that's just me.

Compared to PC sims like Race and rFactor, GT5 has too much grip.

Compared to other games like Shift 2, GT5 doesn't have too much grip.

Depends on the tyres and set up. Try changing the sports hard to sports soft on the production car, or just go right ahead and put racing softs on! Sometimes if it's a low level production car it might come with comfort tyres which are very low grip.

Still not enough grip? Put the aero balance up and increase camber. And if in your production car buy the aero parts if you don't have it. Some cars, like the McLaren F1 you can buy a lot of aero parts and when you add these it becomes a different beast.

I've noticed that the grip in real life tyre types are not realistic at all, compared to real life. Even when drive on a straight line at 90 mph, the car is going to slip.
