Yes! Bravo! Yippie! Hurray! Fo shizzle! I can't find words to express the joy i had when i saw the 205!

Now they should bring back the RS200, and get the Quattro S1.

yep. the group b line up aint complete without those 2 greats. they said in that top gear the unearthed an rs200.

this means that mabye the crazy groupB metro will be in gt4.. nice!

imagine, a group b rally race. this would be the line up

Lancia Delta S4
Renault 5 Turbo
Peugeot 205 T16
Ford RS200
Audi Quattro
Metro 6R4

that would be sweet.

woohoo :D

if all the cars in the list nitro posted were in that'd be great.

hmm...wasn't group b the one with minimal regulations on engines? u never seem to find a modern wrc car have more than 300hp

Damn, even from a far the Renault 5 Turbo looks so real.

The further away you are the more real they all look, it's when you get up close you start to see the jaggies.

ive just been slaggin evree1 on a game called inklink where you draw a pic and ppl guess it. it was well funny

Please Please Please inclue the 6R4!! They rule. I'd like to see the 8R4 in there aswell but i'd be happy with just the 6!

:)

plz oh plz, let the 406 T16 Pikes peak be in the game, that was such a great car.....

Oh why did you have to post that? I need new underpants now.

emad - the car in my avatar (the Ford RS200 Evolution) was often sent out to race with 650hp or more. The one-off IMSA RS200 GTO actually had a slightly smaller 1.8 engine pushing close to 900hp. But I've heard tell of anything from 250hp for the original RS200 up to 350hp for the standard Evolution with kits to push it to 450-850hp from the factory.

Graham Hathaway's RS200 Evolution, with 850hp, still holds the world production car record for 0-60mph acceleration.

All of thats correct exept for the record for 0-60 in a production car, that was beat around a year ago in a Tiger T100 (the top spec mode) driven by Tiff Needel.

Except that the Tiger T100 isn't a production car, and it wasn't officially timed.

The official record is STILL held by the RS200 team.

I thought the T100 was production, if not then yeah that RS200 is still fastest.

Aslong as it sounds like the real thing, the video of it that came with V Rally 2 (PC) was amazing

/Hmm actually that was a 405, that what you meant or is there a newer one?

The first thing I do when I get the 205 will be to re-create the classic movie Climb Dance!!!!!!

Bedhead

I think he meant the 405 TI6 Pikes peak, that was like the one in V-Rally 2. I've never seen or heard of a 406 in the Pikes peak.

Now if we can hit those spectators with these cars. Along with rally tracks made for speed.

If you like the RS200 you might like this.

840 bhp RS200 that Stig Blomqvist has used for the last couple of years at Pikes Peak. Saw this beast earlier this year at a Rally day at my local circuit. God, this thing sounds amazing.

I have posted a load of pictures I took on the day on this site, link is https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/t-29458.html

All of these cars are needed in GT4, but the one that gets me going is the Renault 5 Turbo, loved those things, I had a 5 Turbo for a while, miss it dearly.

Got my vote, the Pikes Peak Escudo would have a purpose in GT4 if it has some competition. In GT2 it had a point (Pikes Peak as a track and going head to head with another Escudo. But in GT3 it seemed a bit lost.

well in gt2 it did have somecomp in the shape of the cultus pikes peak, but that was way slower than the escudo.

Here is some nice info I´ve found on Group B cars already seen in GT4 pics. It will be great to check these cars against onroad GT cars :

The early 1980s saw a category created specifically for manufacturers who wanted to show off their engineering capabilities; Group B was born. The Group B rally supercars quickly evolved into 500+ horsepower, four-wheel-drive chest-thumping beasts with space frames, kevlar bodywork, and many other high-tech pieces. The cars reached a point where many wondered if the cars had reached a point where the drivers could not fully control them. For instance, the Lancia Delta S4 could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.3 seconds on a gravel road. Henri Toivonen drove an S4 around Estoril, the Portuguese Grand Prix circuit, so quickly that he would have qualified sixth for the 1986 Portuguese Grand Prix. Nigel Mansell sampled a Peugeot 205 T16 and said it could out-accelerate his F1 car. And, perhaps most impressive (frightening?), the driver's reaction times were cut in half compared with previous rally cars. The Group B rally cars and their pilots were the stuff of which legends are made.

Did u know the group b cars had faster accelleration than about more than half of the F1 cars of that era?

::edit:: whoops, didnt see the post above ::edit::

Only to 60, the F1 cars killed them after that.

They had a very nice RS200 (800 something hp) at the Sydney Motor Show last year...Can't wait to see one of them in GT4. :D

The S4 race cars, not matter what position they start from, always seem to lead the first lap. Their launch speed is that fast.

There's always a difference, in this case it's the start.
But keep in mind, a car with great handling and grip can easily defeat the S4 race-cars.............as long as they have enough BHP and a suitable driver offcourse.
