GT '05 no stripe GT '05 With stripe

I was wondering if there is any difference in these cars?

When people have done tunes for them, they've made a point to note that it's with or without stripe...Is there a performance difference?

Yes, for unknown reasons the Ford GT No Stripe has a slight performance advantage over both the Premium and Standard Ford GT. In my experience, it has slightly more predictable handling and is slightly faster in a straight line stock.

Hmm. I used praianos tune for my GT but it's the stripe version, and he only had a tune for a 650pp GT with no stripe. The handling is....difficult, but still fairly good.

I tried a few of the other tunes, and they just couldn't cut it for me. It makes it a great car, but it's unable to compete with the McLaren GTR or Zonda LM in the 650pp Seasonal on Suzuka...

Try adding some weight & shifting it forward because all the GTs & lots of other mid-rear & rear-rear cars suffer from being tail heavy.

Its a direct port from GT4 which is why its slightly faster and gives the edge to all other Ford GT especially drag racing.

Doesn't explain why the striped (05) version is slower.

I think the no stripe version in GT4 was some sort of special edition, which was why they didnt show up in the Ford Dealership and you couldnt buy it. That would explain any sort of speed advantage the no stripe has.
