Perhaps, but often the consequences don't end there. Just something to think about.... (Not a threat, please don't make it out to be.. I've just seen this type of thing blow up before and end up doing things that would not have been predicted to begin with..well beyond the named people)

Well, tggt2fan brings up a clear example we can all understand. Beyond that, we must have all seen this in real life, no? If not yet, you will soon enough, in real life, of course under the assumption that you have friends in real life..;)
 
ok, so i know you guys were pointing me ans WT for the names... but hey, they must be doing teh same thing over at GTBN... these guys need to realize that not all people like and revere them... I don't want to start a war with that, but i mean, i really don't care if the people in question read those posts... i'm pretty sure they don't, i went to GTBN yesterday, and they were saying the GTP was full of wusses...

I don't care about the consequences, because i probably won't stay too long over at the GTF when it goes back online... I largely prefer this place.

For some reason I don't think the "establishment" will be losing much sleep if you boys don't like us or choose to not join us there when kenji gets it back online.
 
Spotter, I don't think they will lose sleep either. And I don't think these guys expect them to. I agree with with everything Fogelhund had said in the previous two posts. Who care what they says about other people at GTBN. If they want to waste time to go online and babmouthing stranger they barely know with their free time, that their problem. Don't go there if it bother you. Plus, it's not like all the saints migrated to GTP and all the trashs migrated to GTBN or anything. There are people that I likes and respects that goes to GTBN too, and you shouldn't group all the views of people over there with the view of a single poster. Would you like a random view post by someone on this board to be the representative view point share by all members of this board?

What does it matter who I am anyway? Am a long time lurker over at the GTF. I seldom post but read often. Even if I told you my nickname over there, I don't think you would know who I am. I miss the GTF too, what it used to be anyway. It was the first message board that I read regularly and participate in sometime.
 
I post at most of the major boards from time to time..

GTBN, House of GT, Race Line, here.. of course granturismo.. they all have good people, and idiots.

Just because other people say something about this board, doesn't make it cool to say things about them. We shouldn't have to sink to that kind of level.

Seems to be lots of Canucks around this place.

Seems like we are going to have to arrange for a GT party for all of these Canucks in the Summer, have a bit of friendly competition.

MB11 - took a look around #'s.. all I could find was Ferrari's comment. Perhaps there are more?

Ferrari's beef with this place, is the number of posts here that are purely for post count effort. Such as the guy who tried to post 1000 times in 24 hours or whatever. There seems to be some prevelance of this. I posted in his big megamarathon thread that I thought he was a dumbass.

i dunno... i feel the GTPs ruined the whole attitude of the GTF, mainly because some of the members had fun with each others, and they keep arguing about things that happened there... some will feel left out...

I guess it depends on what happens, what the whole idea is. For some I guess they become like best friends, perhaps they don't have any outside of this area. I can't really speak for these people.

For the one last year, it was just some guys getting together a bit of social and some racing. Really a chance to compete against people one on one who can race competitively against each other. I'm not really at the GTF to make friends, its really about the game. I have met some decent people mind you, and we talk from time to time, but I'm not into clique type situations. IF I organize another GTP, it will again focus more on getting together with some people interested in the game, to race against each other, not to become best mates. We had a planned tournament, and I'd probably do the same thing again.

I don't share the view that GTP's ruined the attitude of the GTF. There are lots of reasons, including B&G, but mostly a lack of respect for other people. I think when we talk about this, we should also point out the problems were pretty much limited to the Pit.
 
I honestly don't see why you people care so much.

If you're not going to visit the site, why bother saying so? You won't convince anyone else.

If you are going to visit the site, why bother saying so? You won't convince anyone else.

If you have problems with people at a particular site, either don't go there or ignore them.

If you have problems with a particular board at a site, don't read that board.

If people are talking about you, then grow up because they obviously haven't. Ignore it.

It's all pretty simple, really.

What started as a thread about the status of The GTF now just degenerates into another Gumball (or whatever it was called) type affair.

If you think The GTF is full of cliques and you feel all left out then don't visit it. It's only a message board!

And in my opinion Macka, considering the insults and general idiocy that Seer was responding to he had every right to say what he did. It's OK for people to be branded as gays or sluts ( from what you know or rather don't know of them over the Internet) but as soon as someone calls it, they are the idiots?

Now that's rich!

but seriously, the GTF doesnt revolve around the people mentioned here, most of the people mentioned dont even bother with the forums that seem to be preferred, among people here, and me anyway, open road, arcade, garage, etc...

its not hard to avoid people on the GTF you know...
