Hey everyone,

In the beginning of October, I started a GTP Member Wide Time Attack Challenge. I didn’t think the thread would be as successful as it was. We currently have the most viewed and most posted thread in the GT PSP section of GTP and I have all the members to thank for this. So without further of do….

I present to you, GTP Member Super Time Attack Challenge Season 1.5 !!!

This season will be a little bit different from what we experienced during the first season.

Point System

The first change for this semi Season will be the points system, I will be adapting the point system from the Super GT Series in Japan.

1st - 10th points will go like this. 20, 15, 11, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

Official Season 1.5 Track List ( Direction of each course will be decided before the start of the season )

Changing up the tracks as of 11/25

Thought it would be a nice pace to change the courses up and open it up to some rally racing.

Will be taking the top 25 members for each track. You are open to adjust any settings or assists if you wish. This season will only have 8 tracks to race for the top 3 slots in the season. Every session will have points awarded for 1st to 10th place. This is just for bragging rights, hopefully there will be a healthy competition amongst the community. Good Luck to everyone!!

Season 1.5 Rules

1. Each challenge will start at 11pm Pacific Standard Time on the first date given and will end at 11pm PST. If your time is submitted after 11pm on the last day of the challenge, your time will not count towards the final tally of times.

2. Only Professional Physics maybe used. Time Trial times using Standard Physics will not be counted.

3. For all Sports Cars, only S1 tires may be used.

4. For all Race Cars, only R1 tires may be used.

5. All Racers must post a picture of their Ghost Replay Save Data showing the (1) Course, (2) Vehicle, (3) Time, (4) Physics used, (5) Tires used, (6) and Name of the Racer.

6. All Racers must support their Time Trial time by uploading the Ghost Replay Save Data of their fastest time for everyone to see. The Racers' time will not count if he/she fails to upload their replay before the deadline of each challenge.

Please refer to the first page of this thread (https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=121347) for instructions on how to locate your Ghost Replay Save Data.

7. Your time will not count if your replay contains you either going off course (four wheels off track) or wall tapping. A minimum of two wheels on track will be allowed.

Lol, i did like 3 races. I'll try to do more this season! Btw, what about if a rule is to not use the driving line? This way it will be much more competitive and well fun actually. Let me know what you think.

I don't really think that the driving line is that big of a deal unless more people feel like it should be not used.

I am reviewing Season One and trying to take some of the suggestions and work them into this upcoming season. I am hoping since people who weren't in TACS1 that were competing in Justin's league will try out this season. Season Two won't start till the last week of January of the new year.

I agree, plus I think it would be imposible to check for the driving line after the fact.
 
I'm in :) I have most the cars required, but I'll have to pick up the few I don't have before the season starts.
 
I am hoping that people will compete in all 8 rounds. I believe I have driving to Vegas on the 24th, so it's cutting it short but I believe I can keep this organized. I am also getting burnt out on COD haha. This should be a very nice break. Anyways lets make this Season more successful then the first!
 
Wow, driving with S1 tires is going to be a big challenge this season. I started my trials with some of the cars to see which tracks will challenge the community as a whole. Just don't get frustration when your driving in the challenges at first.

I'm going to give up my secret to the extremely low time...

I never did it on the GO.

I did it on a 2000 with CFW.

I used CWCheat to pause the time then went around to the end and turned the timer back on then crossed the line when it came to the time I wanted.

I then used the screenshot feature of CFW then transferred the pic to the GO then I took the photo.

All looks real but its all staged.

It looks real but I've just proven its not and how easy it is to make any of these races fake.

The only way to prove its not fake is to have multiplayer online games where others can prove its real or fake.

GT is one of those games that is really easy to cheat in.

That's why ghost replays are a must.

2 new rules have been added to the list. Please make sure everyone who is going to compete takes a look at all the rules posted. No exceptions to anyone, new or returning.
 
Perhaps you should combine rules 5 and 8 to avoid confusion as they are essentially the same.
 
Obviously we won't expect niigaki to view all the replays.
Often our concern is the racer ahead of us.
So most likely we are going to check that replay.
