GT-R Academy Special. STOP COMPLAINING PLEASE.

Old news but PD is releasing the GT-R Academy Special to everyone on Monday. I just wanted to ask, is anyone else sick of hearing everyone complain we are getting a FREE car? Yes, it's a GT-R, but it's free! I want to organize a list for all the complainers to understand this!

-It's FREE
-If you don't want it, don't get it! You don't have to, just don't do the challenge. Boycott it. If you don't, can you say HYPOCRITE?
-This one is big, This is not a new car! As European users will tell you they got this car months ago. PD is just releasing it to everyone now. Think of this more as how we received the free X2010. PD didn't spend time putting this together, therefore HAS NO SAY IN WHAT IS TO COME IN THE FUTURE. It's a GT-R yes, but it's not a NEW GT-R.
-Do people NOT realize that there are many Many MANY more cars that are new to GT. What about Lamborghini and Ferrari. The SEMA cars? The Stealth and Chromeline cars. Anyone actually remember the Edge Camaro SS?
-Say Thank You to Kaz for once instead of complaining to him.

I'm sorry I had to be this blunt about it, but I'm just getting sick of the complaining.

Agreed, I saw people whining about a new GTR, despite there being way less of them compared to the R32s, R33s, and R34s. I saw nothing wrong with this, just people being thankless a-holes.

You must be seeing the complaints from the news, comment section? It's one of the reasons why, most of the time, I ignore it. Then again, it's something we have to expect, and understand with the situation. We simply don't agree with them, and from there, there's not much else we can do than a few statements here and there from the dedicated members, which I appreciate btw.

Anyway, personally, I think it's pretty cool that a car model that I own in real life, I can drive in the game. Plus, it's not like it took major time for them to model it.

Exactly where I'm getting this from. I ranted on there with several comments too. And like you said, it didn't take them time to model this. And for this is took them no time. This car has been sitting on people hard drives for months now.

Go to the PS Store and go to the top right corner and find Downloads and look through there until you find it. You lose it if you did the permaborrow glitch, but you can redownload it there. It's not tied to your savedata, it's tied to your Game Data which is why you lose it if you do the permaborrow glitch.

Well thank you I guess. I'm usually not like this, but it's things like this that get me upset. I'm a PD fan and I'll back them up. Fighting is kind of in my blood actually, but I can't fist fight on GTplanet xD

I also can't complain because it's not a new car and PD didn't waste any time on it, and I can't complain about TC cars because then I'm supposed to believe they're all new cars that took a lot of effort and not just RMs of existing cars.

I sometimes look at the Forza.net photo forum, I want those cars to be in my game. The chances of that ever happening become more dim each time Kaz pulls a stunt like this one. I don't care that you put the bar very low for GT5, but don't tell me where I need to put it.

To make things worse, i honestly feel that the moaners are multiplying on here, which is starting to be a MAJOR turn off for what is essentially a great site!

With regards to the GTR, yes EU players were given this car months ago, albeit with a slight difference to the paint scheme (noticeably the stripes down the center of the car being removed)

To be honest, both sides are as bad as each other. There are two types of people on here it seems...

1. The PD worshippers, they won't accept any criticism of their god, Gran Turismo. They fiercly defend everything related to PD or GT and they make constant snide comments towards every other game/game developer.

2. The PD haters, they constantly deride the game and act as if it's the worst game ever made and they refuse to acknowledge the good parts of the game. They constantly complain about something, even if it's a free gift.

Then there are the normal people, such as myself, who accept that there are issues with the game that need fixing, but still enjoy playing it, alongside other racing games.

Thats ********, Gran Turismo was first made for Japan, but Europe liked it more. The standard Japanese cars are NOT made for GT5, but for GT1, 2, 3 and some for 4. In 4 and 5, Pagani and Ferrari came.

Kobooi, grow up you fool, your comments are not only pathetic, but pointless too. the second comment that you quoted was simply for thanking them for all the work they have put into this game over the last 12 months whereas other companies would have simply moved on, oh and for the record, I am not fanboy, far from it!!

I wasnt making a point of the car being "new" I was merely pointing out mainly for my fellow Europeans incase they might want to have both iterations.

I wouldnt call myself a hypocrite, as I do not usually post about the moaners, but this is getting stupid now, and is really putting me off this site. Why can't we just accept that GT was sold as an unfinished game, the updates we do get are very much appreciated by everybody, and anything we do get given (especially for free) should not be looked down upon.

The biggest thing is though is PD is planning much more. They've already announced new DLC every two months so this is no indicator of whats to come!

And also your second statement has nothing to do with this at all. Not a good analogy. I have no idea where you were trying to go with that.
