Complainers get things changed for the better for the most part.

PD-kissers sit back and live in la la land and accept everything shoved at them and hate on those that dont see PD through rose colored glasses. They will gladly accept any updates that the complainers made happen though. Hypocritical is an understatement.

I prefer to be neutral but I lean more to the complainer side because the otherside really stand for nothing and fall for everything given to them. At the end of the day I just say my piece and move on. Dont like what constructive complainers have to say? Then keep making threads complaining about how our complaining led to PD improving some aspects of the game you now enjoy.

BTW the passive PD praisers forget that PD wants the criticism.

No theres a difference between what you are saying and the complainers. Think of what you're saying as constructive critcism. I even do that. Complainers whine and ***** about it in stupid ways. Read the comments on the main page and you'll see exactly what I mean. And while PD wants critcism, I'm sure they don't want it like how most complainers give it. If I was Kaz and saw all that, not to mention AFTER he said about the new coming DLCs, coming updates, and new material, I wouldn't even care half a crap about what people tell me if they tell me it like that! Hell I'd say screw this and just focus on GT6! Then again I'm sure Kaz is s nicer person then me :P

You know, I don't wish to complain about a free car I already got for entering GT-Academy months ago since I can just simply choose to not enter that event if I don't want another one but I can see that yet another GT-R gets on peoples nerves sometimes.

I also don't want to get on the 'thousand-Skyline' bandwagon since there aren't that many Premium Skylines in the game (the other ones are simply carried over so any criticism aimed at having too many is complaining about past decisions, and to me that only is fair about all the variations of a single model, not all different cars simply named Skyline since they truly are different but sharing the same name).

But, and it's a big but, there are already a lot of R35 GT-R's in GT5 (and I don't count the GT500 versions as they're completely different).
There's obviously the GT-R '07 and the GT-R SpecV '09, then there's the GT-R Proto and Black Mask versions.
Additionally we have the GT-R SpecV GT-Academy Version prize car and the GT-R Academy Special we Europeans got for free months ago and now again (which ofcourse is very nice for those not living in Europe).
Recently they've added another pair of (great) GT-R's, albeit completely different cars, in the form of the GT-R TC and the N24 Schulze Motor Sports '11 which does make it appear there's an overload of R35 GT-R's sometimes.

So again, it's nice to have this car available for the first time for those living outside Europe but if I have to give PD some advice, then it's to say go easy on the R35 from now on, we get it you were heavily involved in its development but flaunting that too much might prompt accusations of being biased and cheapens the appeal of an otherwise amazing car.
We do need different versions of a lot of other cars though.

Anyways: I agree with you OP. The car's been on the HDD/disc for months - shown by the Euros getting the car not too long ago. It's not a new car nor true DLC, just an exclusive car (cue the whiny :censored:s who whine about the "easiness of earning the car") you can get through a seasonal.

Why is it that - no matter the game - there's at least one ungrateful kid who complains about any new DLC/exclusive cars to earn/etc.? Even if PD managed to give us the Aventador - one hell of beast - for FREE - people would still whine saying "PD should pay attention to other cars waaaaaaah". And that's when "if you don't like it, don't buy/earn it" comes into play. Let us Yanks (and everyone else?) get a stab at a car that will probably never be offered again.


Hmm...I wonder how many whiners will still get the GTR? Despite saying they don't want it...

Kobooi, the perfect customer to have is a loyal customer. Not one that complains and will stop buying products because they didn't like something they got for free. PD already has your money and I don't think they care if the people who complain about free stuff which are probably like 0,001% of the total customers will not buy their next game/DLC. Coding 1 completely new car that you will give away free later will probably cost more than they will lose by losing customers like that

The biggest thing is though is PD is planning much more. They've already announced new DLC every two months so this is no indicator of whats to come!

We are aware PD is planning a lot more, it's that noone wants a new gtr when they could just buy one. We could also do without this car as others do without chrome lines and such.

What i was trying to say was this gtr is not new in anyway and we could go on without it. When we get a free car, we expect something exciting and new, not a recolor of something we've gotten tired of seeing.

Not everyone who plays GT5 is on a forum. The percentage of complainers is much higher here :( It seems like some people just register here to complain. Think you're wrong because if the percentage was high enough for PD to notice drops in sales or something like that they would have gifted a different car.

PD is giving it to players who couldn't get it originally. This car has improved performance as well I believe. But I think people are NOT aware they are planning more. People who are complaining are going to go on thinking that PD is just releasing more GT-Rs and people really need to know, they're not. It's not a new car, they're just giving everyone access to a car that's been on their PS3 for months. And if people don't want it, don't get it. You have a choice.

I don't think DLC should live up to everyone's expectation. Fans expectations are WAY TOO HIGH for PD to fulfill. Think about it, it's not all that easy to place in a new car every now and then. Then your going to comeback at me using other games as examples. Here's another things, GT5 is somewhat known for it's attention to detail unlike other games, os making a new car or track is going to take a heck of a lot longer then the other company would take.

0,1% then. Don't take it to literally. you know that I just meant that it's a very small percentage.

Don't think PD are basing their december DLC on what the reactions on a free gifted car are. Of course everybody wants great DLC, but complaining about a free car won't change anything about that. Write an official constructive complaint to PD if you are so frustrated.

I don't think we'll see anything new for a while. I think by March or April next year we begin to see NEW cars. For now I predict we see some of the missing cars from GT's past. Which would satisfy me.
 
I don't really know wot the fuss is tbh. And the end of the day its free. Some of my non-european friends wanted it and couldn't get it. Now they have the chance. TC cars are not just new liveries. CRZ, R32 and more, I'm not listing them. Are all widebodied cars. Have u bothered to put them nxt to each other? I think u might notice a few differences. I apologise now for bringing FM4 into it. But they are being charged for cars already in the game, every week. I also read bout the XJ13 that europeans get. Well America got the Edge camaro. So to me it balances out. The one thing i am slightly disappointed by is the stealth giveaways. Yes its nice to get them for free. Unless u bought special editions or pre-ordered. I got Signature edition and i am happy with it. But i thought that these chrome/stealth cars were part of the exclusive package or pre-order. Oh well nevermind. Still got everything else with Signature edition.

Old news but PD is releasing the GT-R Academy Special to everyone on Monday. I just wanted to ask, is anyone else sick of hearing everyone complain we are getting a FREE car? Yes, it's a GT-R, but it's free! I want to organize a list for all the complainers to understand this!

-If you don't want it, don't get it! You don't have to, just don't do the challenge. Boycott it. If you don't, can you say HYPOCRITE?
-This one is big, This is not a new car! As European users will tell you they got this car months ago. PD is just releasing it to everyone now. Think of this more as how we received the free X2010. PD didn't spend time putting this together, therefore HAS NO SAY IN WHAT IS TO COME IN THE FUTURE. It's a GT-R yes, but it's not a NEW GT-R.
-Do people NOT realize that there are many Many MANY more cars that are new to GT. What about Lamborghini and Ferrari. The SEMA cars? The Stealth and Chromeline cars. Anyone actually remember the Edge Camaro SS?
-Say Thank You to Kaz for once instead of complaining to him.

What i've been saying so far is that people are always going to complain about one thing or another. Its the complaints that influence the product overall.

I guess you're complaining because you want PD to change something. Or else you are just complaining because you want to complain. So it probably would be better to direct you complaint to PD and not on a forum which they probably don't read.

Yes they may check GTP at times but it's not the only thing they have to do. He said "Constructive Complaints" to PD. This would be much more effective. Complaining on an unaffiliated forum is not the best 100% only way to do this. Use some common sense!
 
The eyes are never satisfied. No matter how many cars are in a game there are always those who want more. If anything I rather have more tracks than cars.

By now you should have understood it's not about quantity. The complainers say "oh no not another GT-R" and you think they want more?
 
Well, they didn't waste any resources, time, or money on this, and it's a free car, and the GT-R handles like a beast, so...

There's no real excuse to complain other than "i wish PD spent all of their money and resources on the aventador (or insert wanted car here) instead of giving out a GTR that is already on the disk, and then skimming on money for everywhere else".
