What the hell is wrong with tis car, it tries to swap ends under braking and just doesn't make much sense.
I like the fact that it has character and isn't boring to drive but lets look at it.

It must have cost Kaz's team a lot to build in real life (Don't know how much), it says it comes with standard suspension, not even fixed sports, or adjustable sports which is wierd because the set up is nothing like standard, the figures are totally weird in themselves, the most different in the game on any car, (-1.00 front -0.50 rear) springs just under full on front, and totally different damper and roll bars front and rear.

Now this is probably correct for the car and its all other cars that have generic made up figures.

But the thing thats most strange is for all the money it cost to build, comes on RH tyres, is lighter and more powerful than standard GT-R, so i tested them on Trial mountain, just 2 laps each (Iknow, i know !) and the regular Black Edition was only 1.5 secs slower on SH tyres!!!
If fitted with RH same as N24 the Black Edition would be faster!, so PD WTF?

I am talking about the new DLC Car with the yellow headlights not the Shultz car!

Before asking whether PD screwed up or not (which could very well be the case), have you done any research in what the regulations are regarding the class this car competes in?
I haven't to be honest but it could very well be that this race version is actually slower than a production car due to certain restrictions.
Another thing is that this car was specifically set up for the Nurburgring 24 hour layout and this set up might not work very well on any other track.
Maybe this set up wasn't even chosen for ultimate speed for all we know but perhaps catered to the personal preferences of its drivers and maybe designed this way for other reasons (being a 24 hour endurance race which might require different characteristics).

As for the handling itself, I find it very enjoyable and as long as you do most of the braking in a straight line (before steering in) there's nothing inherently wrong with it.
If anything, it keeps you on your toes and teaches you to drive as smoothly as possible, you can actually correct it very easily most of the time as long as you don't immediately countersteer as then it's gone.
Having said that, I haven't raced it online yet (mostly used it so far for hotlapping) and it could prove to be too tricky for me to compete against other cars as then I might forget its tricky behaviour in the heat of the battle and screw up badly.

It iw great, more menuverable and quicker reacting than any GTR in the game, it has a soul rather than an ECU.

That's because it is a road car. A normal GT-R.

It has the race pack purchasable from Nissan and the necessary safety equipment to allow it to race.

That was the whole point of the entry at the Nurburgring 24 Hours this year.

To show how good the GT-R is, not a race car that happens to look like a GT-R.

Its far from a normal GT-R.

Did you not see Kaz's twitter pics of them building it?

It's a showroom GTR with the race pack equipped. Which makes it heavier than a stock GTR.

The setup on it is to force the drivers to be conservative and considering it was raced in a 24 hour race and won in it's class, I'd say it served it's purpose.

If you actually read the description of the car on GT5 you'll see that it is a normal GTR.......

Err...its lighter 1700kg v 1730kg and 40bhp more powerful so what are you on about?

It isn't a big difference anyways.... the "biggest" difference is just the suspension and aero parts.

No one's mentioned that it's an endurance racer? that could make a huge difference, it's not set up to be fast once around the course, it had to do 24 hours...

I've never seen an endurance racer that is only as fast around a track as its road car equivalent!

Go to the 24 Hrs of Le Mons.

You got that right, it is a 24hr LeMon.

Another thing why would a car built to drive for long lengths of time handle so badly?

Kaz eh! Not only ruins virtual cars but real ones now too!

What if GT Academy team drivers like it that way?

Oh, and Kaz didn't do the tuning, PD developers did. :dunce:

But he had to sign off on it, surely.

Honestly I think we are being completely trolled.

Kaz in a meeting at PD:
Ok guys, this DLC were going to give them another GT-R, but this time, make it unstable, and slower than a stock GT-R!
PD Employee: And we can also make the Honda HSV sound like a GT-R! HAHA!
Kaz: Brilliant! Take the day off everyone! Good work today!

You guys are putting too much thought into it.

It's an endurance car, in a 24 hour event on the most grueling track in the world. Of course it's going to be setup in a way that the drivers can't push the car to/beyond it's limits.

I will ask Lucas at the Petit LeMans drivers signing if the handling is true to life or not. I need to ask him why he hasn't accepted my Facebook friend request anyway.

:) Don't be so sure! I own a team that's run in Lemons for two years, and while they may be crapcans, the majority of the field is significantly faster than they were coming off the production line. Lets just say the old adage of "If you ain't cheatin you ain't trying" comes true very often....

Nail on head!

Just noticed you can't alter the downforce settings even though it has a rear wing and technically a race car. Error by PD?

I wonder if thats the whole problem/answer?
They completely forgot to model the aero on the rear thats why it is so unstable at the back.... Hmmm!?

It would certainly make sense!
