Sorry if this had been asked before but I just want to know if I can earn this trophy with my DS3? Is it possible or do I need a wheel?
Thank you for the answers.

Absolutely possible to do it with DS3. At least I did it and I am NOT an alien driver. :D:tup:

Exactly what he said. I did it with a DS3 (7:26.xx) after many months of procrastinating. My advice on this one is:

-Use the race line. It might be conservative, but it is still a nice reference point.

-Don't be afraid to push hard in certain areas. A lot of the time you don't THINK you will be able to carry much speed through a certain section, but in reality you might be able to take it 10-15 mph faster.

Practice, practice, practice. It took me many tries, but once you have driven on the Nurb a whole lot trying to get this trophy, your sector times will fall.

-Patience. Realize it will take many tries to get down a good lap, so sit aside a good amount of time one night with no distractions.

-Frustration will happen. Yes, you will get a perfect run only to red lap on the last corner or "that" turn. Just keep trying and remember to take a break once in a while. Trying to do this in a bad mood doesn't mix well lol.

-Don't worry about one minor mistake, but don't be fooled, to get the trophy you have to stay on the course 95% or more of the time to have any chance to achieve the time. I had an off track moment on my run to get the trophy, so you can make a few mistakes. Just make sure to try to make it up in other sections if possible.

I can't think of anything else right now, but I hope some of it helped. Good luck.:)👍

I've done it with DS3 and auto transmission. One and only tip I can give is........ Learn the track!!!

The AMG special events are great for learning the "ring".

I remember: I missed target time by a few tenth of a second and almost raged high enough to smash my controller into the TV set. (Not really but it sounds good.)
But: I left the trophy alone and started again a few weeks later. In total I had 3 or 4 completed laps of which the last one was clearly below the target time. And I guess I had 10-15 tries in total. As mentioned before: don`t be too shy with the gas pedal and knowing the Ring helps!!!

I tried it multiple times and was either about 10 seconds off of the goal time or I ended up getting disqualified. I did the the 4 hours of Nurburgring in the black edition gtr, and that really helped me learn the track. I then tried the challenge a couple days after that and proceeded too get it with the ds3. I used driving line, and i suggest it for braking points but it the last couple of sectors it seems way off as you can drive into corners with later braking or no braking at all.
bottom line is just to learn the track and stay calm. Good luck!

Half the battle is learning the track and the limits of the car. If you push 1% more for a whole lap of the nurburgring without crashing then you can be a few seconds faster straight away.

It's easy ;)

Thank you very much guys!! I'll give it a try and then I'll tell you the result. I have a last question: I use the race line but should I use other AIDS?

If you want more help, PM me and I'll talk you through it. Im a GTP Racing Instructor, and can probably diagnose whatever is holding you back.

I recommend SRF, and ABS and TC set to 1.

I used these settings, and it worked. Another tip, you might want to drive a few practice laps to find out how hard you should brake, and where.

I have just recently won this trophy a week or two back. Spending a bit of time on the AMG special events helps alot.

Skid recovery force definitely helps in getting a good time, which is why it is not an option you can use in the AMG events.

As an lover of driving on the ring this was not that difficult. 2 tries at most. Trophy for 500 bspec races was hell though...
