Think I'll buy another one at some point. Was a lot more fun to stuff around with before I did weight reduction and body stiffness etc.

Also it does understeer once you have over 800Hp running through all 4 wheels lol

Not TOO hard to sort that out though. Lose the understeer and it becomes a REAL weapon.

I used it in the daytona like the wind and beat everything easily. Even the Escudo!

equip a torque diff and set more power to rear to offset understeer or adjust LSD

so is the spec v that much more worth the cost compared to the normal gtr in game?

it sounds like pure evil i have it tuned to 600HP and it can hit 340km/h with no draft down the main stright on the ring

turn off all aids, but leave ABS on 1 and this thing is fun on the ring
it does not wheel spin unless you have not set the settings right on the Torque Center Diff(set it between 15-75~20-80) this gives very good accel without the wheel spin, you wont even wheel spin on sport hard

plus i would pay the extra just for that opel black color

Don't buy into the hype. Does it overachieve for its (ridiculously high) weight and (intentionally underrated) power? Yes, due to well-tuned AWD and electronic nannies that let unskilled magazine editors hustle it around a track or down a drag strip quickly. Will it beat true supercars around an actual racetrack? Not if they're driven by a capable individual. Lately I've been seeing it pull times 2-3 seconds slower around tracks than even a lowly C6 Z06.

I also wasn't impressed when I was at a trackday and one popped its engine on the straight in front of me, but reliability isn't a concern when driving a discount "supercar", right?

You can have your Porsche tuned by RUF. But an original RUF car is not a tuned Porsche.

In a game where cars are nowhere near accurate compared to a professional simulator (like the racing teams would use, Rfactor Pro for example) the difference would equal 0.

If GT5 is well made, the difference will be noticed.
Otherwise, why bother having the '89 and '91 Skyline GT-R? If anyone doesn't know the differences between these two models, I recommend you to look them up. I was certainly shocked when I found out.

So yes, porsche are in the game, if you don't look at the badge.

If I don't look at the badge, I just have a car. And a very good one.



BTW: I can't wait to drive this car. I really have to see if it is as good as you guys make it sound!

I'm stuck a level 20 with around 300.000 cr. I have no idea where to get a worthy car to win GT All Stars

Maybe a 950.000 cr car from Nissan or Mazda? I'm trying not to ask for a car to anyone.

I don't think there's a car at that price that can handle that race. I used the Jaguar XJR-9 LM Race Car ‘88 to win it (I got lucky on my 2000km trophy). The Mazda Furai (won with the B-Spec NR-A Roadster Cup) might have a chance fully modded (though I don't think it will), but I think you're better off leveling up, using the furai to in A Spec Like the Wind at level 21 and then using the Minolta Race car to win GT all stars.

Those cars you face are, powerful, light, and have a lot of downforce. I don't think there are many non race cars that'd stand up to that race.

my fully modified spec v at 650 bhp, pers record at nurburgring 6:40, its a beauty to, get alot of complimets about the look, i think 868 bhp is a little exagerating and u ve not much competition with other cars, i like a challenge

i wanted to try and build up a nice garage of motors without conforming to the norm, M5 audi RS4 rs200 etc etc but gave in and bought a 09 V-spec, All i can say is bloody hell, tuned it to the max and it's immense (857bhp), just trying to fine tune the understeer out of it.

I get a lot of comments about the look of mine as well

The Nissan GT-R SpecV (GT Academy Version) '09 is more amazing when stock. It also looks better. Tuned up, it can only reach 773 horsepower, but it is a mighty thing, and it's really rewarding to get, Golding all of the S-License.

the gtr is amazing though it does have a tendency to understeer for me at least, so now im driving the zr1 rm and its ******* insane, its in almost perfect balance not to much understeer or oversteer (you really have to try to break the rear wheels loose) and with 800hp its not slow in the straights either

You need to tune it.Drop the weight, upgrade engine & exaust, install aero parts and be sure to pick up some racing tyres.
I do almost all races with it, even one-million-tuned cars are minutes behind me!

I've been running mine with soft slicks up front and medium rears, this gives you a really controllable slide into the corners under braking, once at the right angle to take the corner, come off the brakes and accelerate. unconventional but seems to be effective for me to cancel the under steer.

a little bit of tuning to counter the understeer and the gtr spec v can easily be the fastest car in your garage. right now it holds the record in my garage for fastest lap time in almost all the tracks....and thats against fully modded jgtc cars(toms supra, rays nsx) as well as the mclaren f1 stealth and all the ferraris in my stable...
