Spa delivers again, what a race !

Hope your #80 will be able to show its potential as we go furthermore into this race. I'm in love with that simple design and old-school washed colors.
I'm so happy for the winners of today after a lackluster start to the season. Starting from the pits, it didn't look like it was going to be a walk in the park. They also take a podium in Bronze Cup with the #89 car.

A bit sad for #2 VDS Boutsen whose bid for the podium was thwarted by Güven. However, they leave with a second-place finish in the Gold Cup for the #10 car.

Amazing result for Lionspeed, and well deserved podiums for Auer/Stolz/Engel and the #51 AF Corse Ferrari.

I reckon Rovera is probably my driver of the race, even despite the great drives from the winning team - managing a podium after so many setbacks is remarkable, and Rovera seemed to keep his head better than several others around him.

Fantastic race - I think I caught about 17/18 hours in total, and enjoyed the lot of it - following the race on TV is alot easier than being there in person, though I can't recommend it highly enough if you ever get the chance to be there in person!!

Thanks @Imbissbrunto for the new Lionspeed and AF Corse liveries!

Big crash at the DTM Norsring round, Max Paul lost it under braking for turn 1, hit the outside wall then speared K. Van der Linde in the drivers door before going head on into the tire wall.
Hope van der Linde is alright?!

Ugh! P2 smashes into the back of P1 in the pit lane entry :ouch:

Ive done that in GT7 so many times, but bad to see it happen for real, esp. to a classic GT3!
And that was Alvaro Parente in the Audi that hit the P1 Mercedes. Parente is a professional race driver with a ton of experience.

The crash is on the DTM highlights, VDL had no serious injuries, but Paul had a suspected fracture of the lower leg according to DTM.

Missed the first half of this race, but will check it out after the Supercars race tonight. #500 GT-R had issues in qualifying and gained 18 positions in the race to finish P3 in class.

I stumbled across this by coincidence last autumn, the Aurum 1006 km in Lithuania near the town of Palanga. It's a GT3 + GT4 + TCR + Cup cars like Lambo Supertrofeo + specials (there was a VW Caddy last year) multiclass endurance race held on a highway intersection for 26 years since 2000. The track is 2,6 kms long so they're doing 373 laps in ~10 hours. Part of this stretch of highway is a gas station which is also used for refueling during the race while the actual pits for tyre changes etc. are on another part of the track. It's all very basic and reminds me heavily of events in the golden past on the AVUS or at airfields etc. away from racetracks.

Sure I have seen clips from here before: isn't this track sketchy as hell?

Yes, definitely AVUS vibes. Love it!

The Corvette Z06 Evo is set to debut next year.

The goal is to improve the cars driveability and serviceability for customer teams, as well as a host of smaller upgrades that apparently require re-homoligation in order for them to be applied, though the Corvette is expected to look mostly the same visually. The Evo package will be available as either an upgrade kit for existing cars, or as a complete car from Pratt & Miller.

Honestly a little surprised we haven't heard anything about a Corvette running the N24 still. I distinctly remember there being interest in bringing a Corvette to the Nurburgring a few years ago, but the car has yet to be homologated for the NLS.

Just went for a look after seeing this, not a great point in wing mirrors or rear view cameras with these cars is it?
