Thank you m8 :)
I'll try to impreve it anyways.
I know that nastys paenalties are way more strict. I drove with 2 wheels on the track.
I think after 2.0x update the offline and online physics are nearly the same. Before that, online, the car use to be quicker. Way more grip at lobby rooms.

I have a few questions about the track concerning the blue/green painted areas and the concrete mesh with grass growing between it over the back of the rumble strips. I think you might have to do your Tour Guide duties again Bill.

Also, I wasn't that impressed with some of qually group 1's parking at Autumn Ring. Having a car directly in your eyeline when negotiating the tricky S section is very distracting! So can I suggest that for Spa and all future races we have a designated 'waiting area'? After turn 1 on the way down the hill to eau rouge there is a very wide strip of tarmac on the left. Parking tight up against the wall there would maybe be a good place?

Sure, we can look at anything you want.

I agree parking in the esses was pretty rude. I thought I has made it clear to park waaaay off track, but perhaps some people have different interpretations. At Spa, the big runoff after turn 1 is probably a good parking spot.m

LMFAO, so i guess the second qualifying group doesn't need someone to make sure they don't cut. Weird how that works.

Everything is about you getting screwed somehow....

If you can find a way to monitor cutting without inhibiting laps, then please do so. Parking in sight lines is not a solution. And what do you think anyway? That were all watching all your qualifying laps when group 1 is out there? Not even close. Lets drop the conspiracy theories.

How is me trying to make sure ppl are not cutting, about me getting screwed?.... Anyway....

Everyone has an out lap right? So that means if you had a problem with where i was, you had lots of time to say something without having to mess up your Q'ing.

I was focused on heating my tires. The part about parking way off track is written into the rules so I didn't think it needed reiterating. I didn't realize we had an undiscussed impromptu police force so it never really crossed my mind until it was too late.

No point to rehash now. It caused me to qually last, but since I won I'm not complaining :)

Well just need to be more careful moving forward.

Well, fwiw, I chose to park it there cause I thought it best, without going around the track scouting for a better spot. It didnt feel right to park on the left at turn 1 area, as theres not much runoff and is as equally or more distracting. So I found a spot where it would be impossible to collide with me. Plus I got to see some bus-stop action as a bonus. Live and learn; I also learned that I need to use my bumpers more, since everything in the qually race was deemed acceptable.

Running Spa laps now. Low 41s are easy enough at the moment, Looking for low 40s as my confidence and consistency build. Its tough to do, being more worried about the white lines than the racing line..

No worries Chris. Your car wasn't in too bad of a spot, and I agree Autumn Ring is a tough place to find a clear spot.

As far as the qually race, I agree it was a bit aggressive on the final lap. I didn't see anything outrageous though. If you feel anybody in particular needs to relax, plz pm me.

Wanna practice a bit tonight? I can try to get on. Remember if you go off but lift for a few seconds there is no penalty, so no problem with pushing hard, just be honest with yourself if you make a mistake and go wide.

If there were any aggressive maneuvers in either race I'd love to be pointed to where they occured. I had a brake lock up on first lap that I have apologized profusely for. I didnt see any other moves warranting discipline. I think that if anything, some egos are getting aggressive not the driving. We are in this to have fun and if every race aftermath begins to devolve into rage, slander and accusations then the league is dead.

Remember why we are here. All involved are among the cleanest and most mature drivers online. We made this league because of the respect and comraderie we have for each other. Lets get back to the spirit of this league and restore the good nature that is disappearing.

Don't worry about it Kevin. I had a ton of fun last week and I think it's safe to say I'm not the only one. Obviously people will be less pleased when they do poorly, but I don't think anyone is sour or upset!

I'm looking forward to a great race at Spa, even though I am going to do miserably.

Laguna hopefully will be my time to shine again.... Probably not though lol.

I had fun too. I was always going to qualify last so the parking didn't really change anything for me but I would be disappointed if it happened when I had a chance of doing better. Hence why I brought it up.

Anyway, I might have a way round this;

Group 1 goes out as normal and does their laps. Group 2 watches. An 'official' from group 2 then writes down the best times for each of Group 1.

Group 1 returns to the pits only when the times have been written down. They then watch while Group 2 do their laps. An 'official' from Group 1 writes down the best times for each of Group 2.

The two officials post all the times in chat. From there we work out the grid order.

Reset the room, load another track or whatever, and come back so it wipes the times. Set the starting order to fastest first and we go out and line up in the order we start. If no times are set in that session it sets the grid according to who is furthest ahead on the track (I think).

Would that work or is it too much messing about?

Any pracco planned for tonight? Wouldn't mind a bit just to get comfortable running with other cars. I tried my spec M3 in offline practice (because the network has been down for me all day :grumpy: ) and with std. ballast I was in the low 39's after 2 laps. Now I'm worried! :scared: It would seem the big yellow bus has reached saturation point with the ballast. Just have to keep my nose clean again like Autumn Ring and hope for the best.

Dont worry, I can barely get a 41 and the MR cars are behind even that.

Btw, congrats Fabian on your time trial so far; top 10 in the world !

I wont be around for practice until tomorrow. See you all then! I'm excited to see what i can salvage.....

Thank you mate :) today i improve my lap time and now i'm 4th in the world. I still can do it 0.2 faster i think, but i get s nervous!
C u all tomorrow at the track folks :)

If you get your fuel right and stay out of trouble I'd say there's a lot to be salvaged. Just look at me last week. Slowest car over a single lap by a mile yet finished in front of 3 people.

Well done perro. Very impressive TT!

Perro, your boss at work just called me and told me to tell you he's desperate and really needs you to come in and work this afternoon. Or youre fired. I know, I think its weird too but Im just relaying the message. Shucks, man! ;)

well, one more time, i'll not be able to race tonight :( . i had choice between a party with friends or a race with you. No offence to you but i choosen for the party. You all know that real social life is nore important than than GT5 huh. I'll be there for the last round, for the honor.

the power at my.home its out about an hour ago and it still dont come back, im so angry right.now with.the.assholes.who crash and let me without powerlight . hope i.can race :(

O fuel! drunk all, and left no friendly drop
To help me after? I will jab thy throttle.
Haply some gasoline yet doth hang on it

Yea, no noise? Then I'll be brief. O happy dagger!

This is thy BMW; there rust, and let me die.

That was incredible poetic! Sucks what happened to you bro. Just a few more liters.... Same thing that cost Rayza a win last week.

Anyway that was an awesome race. Incredible how even all five cars were on speed. The Lotus' pulled off an incredibly dominating 1, 2 finish though so that was certainly impressive.

Going into the final week, technically any of the top 3 drivers can still win. Rob is locked into at least third though. Wander can win anything up to second place. All Rob needs to do is stay out of last place though and he can clinch the title. 140kg of ballast will certainly make that a tall order though. I can't wait!

Also, the rules are very specific about missing too many races. Unfortunately as much as I hate to say it, Whitey, Litchi and Perro are DQ'd from the final results due to inactivity. Sadly that makes them ineligable to continue racing this season. All three will still get first dibs at season two though. Sorry to be so harsh, but I can't keep bending all the rules. I enjoyed racing with all three of you and really hope you'll join us next time.

Oh and Fabian, win that TT for the rest of us so we can live vicariously through you.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I think the Z has already done it, hasn't it?

I have 23pts waiting for me at Laguna even if I don't turn up (5th place dropped score from Autumn Ring). So if you add that to the current lead of ~20pts? it's just too much even if Bill or fbm do 'the triple' and score a perfect 39pts which btw no-one has managed yet this season.

You shoulda taken me up on that power/spec decrease I suggested a few weeks ago. Even as far back as Nurburgring I was saying it was embarrassingly easy to make passes on even the smallest of straights. And nothing much has changed even with an ungodly amount of ballast to haul around. Only that now, it's inconveniently slow (for you guys) in the corners instead of just normal slow.

If you don't turn up, you get 0.

You need to start to earn minimum points. You are right though it seems. Start the race and youve clinched the title. 5 guys still shooting for 2 more podium spots though.

Dude don't blame the car. We had all the opportunity to pick it.

---

Maybe you'll make an egregious error in the qualifying race and earn a penalty? a 5 point penalty is all that it would take to make the title up for grabs again lol.

Ok. Im all better now, mostly. Well enough to sincerely congratulate everyone on a phenomenal race! Jones,FBM,Ray, we all had excruciatingly close battles for dozens of laps. Hard fought, hard lost, and for want of 1.3L by my calcs would've been a perfect showing. Well done guys.
