Made a Food Wars Livery. so i was going to do something different with this livery but was too hard to do it so i compromised with multple different versions of Megumi in Honey instead, was going to place her whole body submerged under the honey of the roof... but this game is (G) so that wouldnt be appropriate for kids. anyway here it is after 1 week in Hiatus. (hashtags are #Anime #Itasha #foodwars)

I've been abit quiet with the livery creator for a few days but I did publish this a few hours ago, Its inspired by a Mazda 323 that raced in the BTCC in 1993, Its nothing spectacular just a very simple thing and the inspiration well lets just say photos of all angles seem quite rare indeed.

Someone asked if there any Western account being showcased on my post. Here it is :

It's been a while since I have posted here for the last time (quite busy lately :boggled:)
I have been going on your nerves wit the BMW LMP-E30H II for a few times now but I'll post it again - it is not the main reason for my post though.
The main reason is that I have created two new liveries for BMWs that have been inspired by the 2018 BMW M8 GTE as well as the 2018 BMW M5 MotoGp Safety Car. The one for the Z4 was the first that I have done after I discovered it is mighty quick around the Nürburgring and Lago Magiore. Yesterday (or was it monday?) the BMW Vision Gran Turismo was featured in the daily races. As soon as I discovered it I started to apply the same style to it aswell. After spending the whole morning to make it look dope I wanted to race it and to my surprise I could only use the 2 stock liveries.
:rolleyes::ouch:
Anyway, here is the result. If you like them make sure to download and repost them in order to hand over a little christmas surprise to your followers.
:D

This is my biggest and hardest project so far. There are a little more than 500 layers of blue on white on blue on white...
This is made with the in-game shapes only. The drawbacks is that I can't colour them with metallic or special paint, and that I need to redo every single layer when I need to change colour (It tooks me a full hour to do the Red/Black from the Blue/White).

^THIS! We need to be able to group individual layers together to make our lives a bit easier with this editor... Being able to paint decals with special colors would be amazing however I can see it being very demanding on the servers from a technical standpoint. Those color schemes are a lot more detailed.

It's not really about it being demanding on the servers.

The way I understand it (and I will happily be corrected)... It looks like the SVG files are converted to raster images before they are applied to the car (at varying resolution depending on the game mode). Since special paint effects can not be captured in a raster file, there is no mechanism there for the game to know you want something to look chrome, because neither an SVG or JPG/PNG etc. file can store information like that. In simple terms, paint effects are not colours, they are rendering techniques.

The paint effects have to be linked to the car model so that the games rendering system knows how to handle the rendering effects. They clearly do do something similar because we can set if all the decals should be matte or gloss, but the fact it only lets you apply one setting to the whole car makes me think it's not that easy, and, if you've ever done any 3D rendering, you'll understand that some effects are much harder to achieve than others... these are the settings in Blender for instance...

... now, PD can obviously provide all the complex settings as presets for each paint chip, so it's not like people would have to understand all this stuff... but my point is that settings like this relate to the 3D model of the car not the individual livery items, and that it's not really server load, but load on your PS4 and the game.... imagine 300 layer decals all with special paint effects on each, on all 20 cars on the grid... 60 fps... more like 1 fphour!

Good job there :) I thought about making that one but never started it. Looks pretty cool I must say. I like the blue/white more.

I also prefer L'Or Blanc but Hellbug is quite popular on social medias, and since I've already done 90% of the job...

There are 3 official cars in total :
Or Blanc :

Or Rouge
Or blanc 4.jpg
Saphir Bleu
Screen-shot-2014-10-29-at-9.41.48-AM.png

And 2 versions which I guess are wrapped because they are not officialy named by Bugatti.

Dang, thank you for the detailed response! I had no clue. That makes a lot of sense though. Completely understandable that they don't allow it on the decals themselves.
