I'm impressed they bother to recreate all the locations, even though the lighting looks similiar to GT6.
But still GT6 Photomode looked very different than the gameplay in terms of looks, so the comparison is a bit useless.

Nurburgring was also the ugliest lowest detail track in GT6 because of memory shortages. Overall I'm not terribly impressed, we've had some remasters with bigger upgrades this generation. Everything seems to be in the same place which is concerning because GT6's nurburgring is from GT4 era scan accuracy wise, they could've at least updated the graffiti which gets washed off quite often, but it seems they've taken the easy way.

Not sure if serious. Williows, Green hell and brands hatch all have got nice upgrade. I can clearly see the gfx evolution, the lighting model as always been the strength of GT and with GTS they have done amazing job.

You are also forgetting that GT6 even on last gen still look on par with current games. In this video watch the ORVM GT6 does a better job, reflection on the car is also better on PS3. Forza6 does at 30fps but watch carefully below the ORVM the reflections of trees are all faked in, not real time reflection like GT6. Even in swingman view you should be able to notice it. I would also say the track surface looks better and from my observation of watching SPA on TV the lighting is nothing as shown in Forza6.

Hopefully we will get same upgrade in SPA for GTS. I expect much better gfx than Forza6.

No 'Dan'. GT4's Nordschleife was actually very accurate: "Within 25mm of the real thing."

Perhaps you're forgetting that Nurburgring has been repaved more than a few times since 2004. You're free to believe what you want, I'm simply pointing out sloppy work by PD.

GT6's nurburgring is from GT4 era scan accuracy wise
This is a blatant lie. GT4 had some curbs off for example, like in Hatzenbach. The thing is, that even the GT4 'ring was still more accurate than all other versions until GT5 was out. Assetto Corsa and GT6 are almost identical even down to the bumps in the road and AC's 'ring is laser scanned, so I guess the one in GT is too, at least in parts. There's not a lot more PD could do, except for graphical enhancements (and adding the 2016 Flugplatz with the smaller hill and new run-off).

Yeah, nope, GT6 is not even close to AC, a ridiculous claim.

The new ring is fine, more graffiti and more trees. The rest is more or less the same as other renditions of the ring that claim to be "Laser Scanned".

All I have to say is that if you want to drive on a 100% accurate Nurburgring, buy a plane ticket and fly to Germany. No game will ever be exactly precise, and most versions provided to us these days are close enough. No need to nit-pick over the little stuff.

The Gran Turismo Sport rendition of the Nurburgring is exceptional. I'm impressed by it.

Polyphony certainly took advantage of the additional power provided by the PlayStation 4. The lighting, shading and foliage model I find to be ever so satisfactory indeed, as can be said for the other circuits.

I'm anticipating a glimpse of their weather system.

The foliage improvements and roadside surfaces alone do it for me.

It feels like I've been waiting forever to say this, but... cardboard cut-out trees be gone!
