Yes, as if the SLS and others we've seen is anything to go by, it would make it seem severely limited. I'd imagine the one's that look like replicas are probably just cars modeled that way. It would just be nice to see some more of the livery editor, in my opinion.
Bingo.

After seeing all these nice screen shots, I predict some good times ahead with GT Sport. With that said, I am still praying-crossing fingers-holding breath for some night racing footage or images!

@sems4arsenal Now would certainly be a good time to release more new content to the public, indeed. I mean, Gamescom is one of the last major gaming event/conventions before the release. Sure, there's Paris Games Week a few weeks before the games' release, but it would seem weird releasing very little new info to the public but then reveal everything else not shown yet just weeks before release.

I think TGS is also before release.

I'm now firmly in the "They aren't showing stuff simply because it's not finished so they can't" camp. It's not just cars and tracks, they've not shown night racing, they've not shown weather, they've not shown damage, they've not shown in detail how new features like Livery Editor work and they've not shown us how the normal 'Online' mode works. I don't think we've even seen things like skidmarks.

I predict the "not on launch day" scenario for many of these things, again.

This might be the best looking driving game out there. Brilliant.

Although, does anyone else think that the tyres still look off? They seem lighter grey than they should be, and really plasticky, as there is no texture on the sides. Literally my only issue though. Everything else is spot on.

Games are never 'finished' these days, but it's supposed to come out in 3 months. I would seriously hope they're far enough along that these things could be shown at this point.

My guess is that they're just metering out the info to ramp up the hype as we get closer to the release date.

Also perhaps an indication why they don't want video, the fences on the ring are flickering badly, obviously some bug introduced in that build.

Here is the first tiny footage of the dirt track in motion

I don't know why, but I'm getting a Smokey Mountain vibe with a mix of Grand Canyon.

The game is so good that you notice this obvious bug.

I didn't even notice the flickering first time until you mentioned it, then I watched again and it's actually pretty bad - could be being made worse by the off-screen video?

Doh!(Homer simpson) the time split is back in the middle of the screen(under the rear mirror) during race, at the London event build was under the gauges(and i was positive surprised ).the game look good:bowdown:

Concrete barriers are masked as a fine mesh again. Regarding this, an early version looked better. If GTS really will have great damage model, I can't wait to crash a car against this wonderful mesh.
Still very nice looking track anyway.

And what about the blue strip band in front of the girl ? Is that virtual too ?

I don't remember seeing the Dodge Charger SRT HellCat before. Surely I would remember such a purposeful looking beast.

It's been shown in a handful of Scapes before, but this is the first time it's been selectable AFAIK. 👍
