Is it my imagination or are the engine sounds closer to the real thing in cockpit view? It's downright bloody awful when cars are whizzing by in the replay mode though.

The replay mode is clearly unfinished...The previous GTs tell us it.

VASTLY different exhaust combination for the later models,
utilising Equal length headers, compared with the traditional unequal length versions used on the early EJ20, which gives teh distinctive Boxer rumble

You proved my point, the Rally cars have insanely loud ALS and Turbo noises as well as big transmission whine, most if not all of that is absent.

If you meant with your video that it misses the details and not loud enough then I agree with you. Given that the engine note is close to the IRL sounding one just as usual missing every other details (anti-lag, crackles, louder transmission- turbo and a raspier sound in fly by's). But for me it looked like you thought every Subaru sounded like that 22b you've mentioned in the dirt rally video so my apologies for misunderstanding :p

I was refering to all the other sounds besides engine note, they're obviously not the same car :lol:

Dirt rally is just the best sounding game ever. I think the only game is at the same level is Raceroom.

I dont know if it easy or difficult to have a good sound. But definetly to reach that level must be indeed, very difficult.

I just imported the images no enhancements.

There's difference I even compared the images to the originals.

After seeing the PSX trailer I decided to make my second fan made trailer for GTS, this time featuring Daiki Kasho's 5OUL ON D!SPLAY. Tried to use as much GTS footage as possible but had to use some stuff from trailers for GT5 and GT6 as well.

Compressing the video shouldn't lead to an altered brightness. Whatever though, I'm not too worried about it but it's just something that caught my eye. Either way, the game is very beautiful. 👍

So, that video only confirms that the anti lag sound is a bit over the top in Dirt Rally and doesn't happen that frequently in real life.

Anti-lag is over the top in real life. Let's just accept that DiRT Rally has one of the best sounds of this generation hands down.

Probably an opinion.
 
nailing the things that matter.

Sound obviously doesn't matter to you then.
 
They have really improved Willow compared to how it was, but one finishing touch they should add is some sand on the road.
