Pretty sneaky at 0:27 but no this is just a big no for me.

Seriously PD Driveclub???

Tbh I won't trust the whole footage or clip done in those Playstation commercial since they are slightly edited and it is likely didn't coming from PD themselves. PD just provided the clips, and the rest let outsider (Sony's marketing staff perhaps?) done the job. So, this clips are not a big deal imo.

PD is actually already done a good job on using real in-game sound sample in their official E3 and the release date trailer.

I find it very odd for PD to just handover the clips without wanting to hear how it sounds back in order to represent it to the audience and mainly Kazunori as a CEO of PD.
They must have some sort of approval from Kazunori himself being in charge of the whole thing. So no I do not buy in this "it's not PD themselves but Sony forcing them" bullshots, apologies for the tone.

@GordonS listen to the GT Sport "Let the engine talk video" at around 0:27 and listen to Driveclub video you will get what I mean

Northern Isle is toxic, I advise everyone to stay away from it. Especially since we now have DR and SR.

Jerome

Well, yeah, I really get this. But, actually only on these sub-5min. races I could bring my self to enjoy ovals. And I did.

It IS a "fluster cluck" but the shortness of it alowed me not to care too much, and to detach myself. "Nah, it's just 5', who cares" - then I trully enjoyed it. Not every time, grrrrrrr!!! :D

Actually, thank you Jerome, you inspired me to find and upload yesterday this old race that otherwise had no public purpose. Sorry I forgot then about it, till today :dunce:

Too bad I lost those 5 seconds on first lap, would be nice to try to win :)

Okay, but it would be better to give my trust to what is came from the studio itself such as trailers or direct capture of gameplay footage to judge the representation of the game. This commercial were just marketing hyperbole and I'm not really sold on them tbh. It is also poorly edited compared to what PD could have done with their effort making short clips.

Anyway, it is fine if you think this ad makes you left unsatisfied, at least that is what I thought about it.

Okay, here is what they said in this video:

- Compared to PCars2 and Forza 7 the graphics are only average and not great
- in VR its even worse, you nearly can count the pixels
- GT sport is pretty varied gameplay wise
- Driving is very good but not very realistic like other games, cars dont often slide away, no damage
- GT Sport seems solid but PD should work on the graphics

..... i really dont like german game journalists

I quite honestly thought the VR was better looking than most driving VR experiences

So they complain about not sliding enough with most of the AIDS on? Well, what did they expect?

Woah... that's hilarious. It's fine if they are criticizing the physics or other aspect that is less or missing from GTS. But graphics? Really?

I guess they choose either PC2 or Forza as a benchmark and they felt GTS have to catch up with those two in some aspect that these journalist think is lacking. A matter of preferences imo.

Or they were actually didn't know what are they talking about... And it seems they are not even notice the driving aids...

He lost all credibility, from this point.

I respect opinions, but it's just impossible to say that GT Sport is visually average or worse.

I guess they only saw the PC version on high settings or maybe ultra high settings

Is that PC2 on standard PS4 ? Why the dirt look like psp GTA side walk ?
Its from a two month old build, as such its certainly not a valid comparison at all.

Its also not the thread for video comparisons.
