So I noticed the game can be running without waiting until 9th October. Is the Arcade mode playable? Thanks!
 
The photos in that tweet are Nurburgring GP. There are plenty of gorgeous images coming out now thanks to the Beta.

There goes my theory of RJ in the Daihatsu Copen RJ VGT standing for Really Japanese. Ah well...

No, you can only open the main menu page and all modes including Arcade are blanked so nothing playable yet.

You do get to receive your first car and mine was the Toyota 86 Gr.B Rally Car.
 
I've speculated the Honda VGT car to be the same one they've patented over the years. It really feels like an elongated S660 and I hope they put it to production someday. I believe the patent dates back to 2015 and we saw glimpses of the silhouette from 2014.

So many new videos and images suddenly, I love it. :D I guess the Honda and Daihatsu VGT's were supposed to stay hidden untill the Honda and Daihatsu unveil them though, but great to see them anyway, they both look really nice.

What also looks great is Alsace Village, track layout seems to be really nice and the environment as well. I especially like this corner with so many cars on track. :)



Only thing I don't like is how obvious it is which car is being driven by the player (or main AI in this case), only one car has beams lighting the whole track and other cars, rest of the cars just have small beams lighting a very small portion of the track in front of them. I guess it's just one of those limitations of the current hardware again. But other than that, it looks great! :)

It is "Really Japanese" though. Small, nimble compact sized kei car you can only found in Japan. Also, that aero treatment is so Japanese imo. Would fit in any scenes of Tokyo Drift :lol:

Anyway, the good thing is that this car have potential being a hot pocket rocket :D
 



Having access to master photographers from Sony - Sony Artisans - and probably other experts on lighting, camera work, etc, really shines through. Kaz knows what he's doing at least on the presentation department of the game.

I'm watching the loop of scapes and replays at the moment and I can't barely believe I'm watching something running on my 1st generation PS4. Especially when I compare all of it with AC's or PC2's graphics.

I can only hope for the gameplay and the DLC to be at the same level.

Been watching a few replays and Suzuka still has some shadowing issues, other tracks seem fine though.
 
You know I for one am pretty glad they decided to delay the game a year... The stuff we are seeing now is so much better than a year ago its amazing to think that they even planned to release it back then at one stage. :lol:
 
Hmm cars sounds really quiet on the replay drivebays..

Which is why I never clicked those youtube videos. I’m waiting until I can watch myself. 20 minutes left of the download.
