Don't meltdown just because some one posted a video to prove Forza 7 is a inferior game compared to GT sport in graphics.
If you don't like it, maybe you should create your own video to prove your own opinion is correct

Mate, we get it. You like how GTS better than FM7. I and multiple other people do as well. But could you at least act reasonable? You're exaggerating the graphical differences between the two, which is exactly what I see happen on YouTube in the comment section, when someone bashes GTS saying that it looks like garbage.

Yes, GTS looks amazing and is by far the most photorealistic racing game to me in terms of graphics. But GTS isn't, miles ahead from the competition. More like, 2 and half kilometers.

You and PZR shouldn’t waste your key strokes. The short replies and constant need to stay on 1 specific retort over and over show a lack of any respectable arguement to be extracted.

I’m pretty sure 99% of the forum already agrees GT looks graphically superior. What an amazing accomplishment when you dedicate your dev team to that goal of pushing the boundary. How’s that gameplay & content going on the other side though after all these years?

I agree that GTS has better lighting and shaders but, Brands Hatch and the Miati are the worse looking car and track in Forza. The Ring and the other tracks are much better in terms of lighting, textures, trees and car details. Also for the car modeling itself, most cars in Forza have ridiculous detaild engines. Forza looks much better in other tracks with a different car. Just have a look

I'm... not really sure which game looks better.
 
Great production by DF. Both look great overall, but GT definitely has the egde. Of course FM has the weather implementation so this will be fun to revisit after GT's weather update.

Oh yeah, night comparison!

Both is fine looking game tbh. Once again GT lighting departement seized to impress, but that doesn't mean PC2 isn't good either.

But not in the resolution of the track and grass textures for example. Or the fact that all other cars use the same cube map as the player car in GTS so you have the ridiculous situation where a reflection of a bridge moves across the top of another car at the same time as it does across the players car even if that car is 20m ahead. Stop trying to misrepresent what was said. I realise that the look of the game is one of the only things that GTS can cling to when compared to it's competition but I'm not sure there is any need to misrepresent what someone has said.

FM7 use the same "ridiculous" trick... look how the reflex of that bridge appears on all cars at the same time :D

Well what can be say is that truly GT sport have the better car models... I'm wonder how GT6 premium car model compare and how much they need to upgrade them to bring so many premium DLC cars for GT Sport... I'm think maybe that GT6 premium car model is better then Forza 7 car model for sure... There is some comparison for that?

Forza really needs to work on the color saturation. A lot of the time the vehicles look way too pale, although I'm wondering if it's just a lighting issue, as things like grass and sky look to be nicely colored at least. That, and shadows can be way too dark at times. If they can fix those two things, it would really go a long way for them.

Not gonna argue on Graphics all looks great and Driveclub takes the cake!

On behalf of sound reproduction:
1. Driveclub (very accurate 👍)
2. Project CARS 2 ( in comparison to GT Sport PC2 seems to have a more immersive sound :))
3. GT SPORT (very good but not exactly accurate compared to PC2 sound and once again the more quiet one :rolleyes:)
4. Forza Motorsports 7. (uhm ok what??? :irked: This does not resemble the Veneno sound whatsoever 👎).

REAL LIFE:

PS: A little detail

GT SPORT takes the cake in how the cockpit recreates the dashboard operation (Gear change animation) on the Veneno. It baffles me not even Driveclub recreates this tiny little detail.

Might as well add this into "little details thread" :D
 
Trying to figure out how the LaFerrari sounds like on each game and came across this :



Idk what happened with Forza though. They kind a bit slacking with their sound sample this time around (I remember some people said the MX-5 sounds like a V8 lol). It also happened this time. This isn't an accurate representation of Ferrari's shrieking V12 engine. Instead, it sounds like the engine working in half cylinders imo.

Meanwhile, GT already got the sample right. Just need to add a bit echo and reverb and slightly tuned the pitch a bit higher. Still, good improvement from previous titles, but need reworked and tweak to get close on how actual car sounds like. The LaFerrari is a loud shrieking machine in real life but in GTS it sound a bit quiet, especially on higher revs. At lower revs and idle it sounds a bit close however.

The only game I came across that sounds closer to the real thing is probably Driveclub. The reverb effect is a bit exaggerated in some cars, but it worked nicely on high pitched, screaming LaFerrari sound imo. So, here is another comparison with DC that also featuring PC2 and Asetto Corsa. And real life :

So, here is my analysis :

PC2 : Fairly decent, there is thing going on and actually it is pretty good. The pitcrew animation is a bit stiff though. Somehow reminds me of old Sega games like Daytona USA or Scud Race. Which is good. Also, nice touch with team radio. Wonder if this feature will come in GTS... Maybe soon...

GTS : Again, GT meticulous attention to detail is impressive. Pitcrews moved naturally and the cutscenes are pleasing to watch tbh. Would be better if the sequence was in real-time instead of cutscenes, but it is fine I guess. If I remember correctly GT4 pit was in real-time but I could be wrong.

FM7 : Ummm... Idk what to say other than "magic" or "self service" lol. I'm not sure if the lack of pit animations have a reason behind it, but it makes the game less immersive imo. Maybe the staff choose to go for practical and quick solutions in this regard. However, it looks to us as a player that they were lazy, rushed or troubled. Still at least it has a pitstop...

IMO the contrast in GT is way too high, at least in these cherry picked photos. Looking at the last two pictures for example, both apparently in mid-day, the portions of the buildings in shadow is way too dark and unrealistic in GT. You can really see it in the other pics in the trees, portions of which show up as an unrealistic dark blob. Forza appears a little more realistic in this sense because the shadows are darker but it's still easy to make out detail in them, just like you would be able to in real life.

Your bias is showing. It's not even close to perfect. I'm not comparing to photos I'm comparing to real life. I don't look at a house in a shadow at high noon and see nothing but darkness. I don't look up at a tree and see a dark, formless blob. Neither does anyone else. That isn't to say the overall lighting in GTS isn't better, but it fails at that particular aspect of lighting in the examples that you cherry picked provided.

Also, capitals and periods please.

I guess you should check your monitor settings then as i dont see ,,nothing but darkness" on that house or that ,,formless blob" on my ipad screen.

When I stand outside in daylight, this is not what I see when I look up at the trees surrounding my house, nor the overhang under my house or garage. The shadows are simply far too dark on GTS in the example pictures to be even close to what I see in real life.

I can still see enough detail in those dark spots. Like i said, you may check your monitor.
