GT Sport's Manufacturer Series Might Give You a Real Team Boss in Future

Now this is more realistic and something I can get behind, having other people help the actual car setup and allowing the driver to do the driving. When was the last time you saw Lewis Hamilton go and change the camber and ride height of his own car?

Manufacturers can be pointed towards guys on here and elsewhere that specialise in tuning for GT. I know the tuning community have been calling for their talents to be more utilised and this can be a great way of getting them involved properly.

Does need a BoP overhaul though to ensure something doesn't completely run away with it. That's the stumbling block that could take lots of time to overcome, especially considering how they struggle to balance with fixed setups at the moment.

That would be epic.

I don't know how the M6 is atm but with open setups it was practially unbeatable 6 months ago.

Is this a real person communicating in the eSports events to players, or digitalized radio messages for everyone in the FIA Manu series (like the F1 games)?
This probably seems dumb but my head's not really thinking properly right now and I dont feel like re-reading it untul I can decipher it...

The Mazda is absolutely untouchable with unlocked settings, BoP would require a total rework but could work.

Yes it would - and certain cars like the Porsche become very meh once settings are opened as that's the major advantage the Porsche has on the entire field - a great default tune.

This is a feature I love, but some players dislike, in PC2. Makes so much sense for no HUD users. Adds to the immersion and can be switched on or off. The engineer responses ask about how the car feels if I sustain damage from contact, tell me if my car is getting too hot, from following the car ahead too close and give encouragement when I'm trying to pass as well. hope this makes it to Arcade mode.

One more thing, please, tell the real engineers not to speak to the player in the corners or when braking!

I think this would be really cool. Team radio on the broadcast would add a lot, especially with incidents and crashes.
You could also take away thing like the live gaps, tyre wear and fuel consumption to increase communication between driver and strategist.

Don't forget to add these live counters too.

This is about a real team engineer being present at live events, talking with the 3 different drivers while they're racing. It's not about packed recordings built into the game, in form of an AI fictional engineer. :)

I know this. 👍 That's why I added my last sentence. ;)

Pity, would be a cool addition, especially with the games commitment to motosport. This is a nice fetaure, but it doesnt affect 99% of players so...

A team engineer that gives radio advice is what I've asked for, but not for the 0.0001% who make it to these live events. For everyone. There is a ton of mental friction in endurance races right now, having to look at tiny UI and make strategic decisions while racing. I want to see an AI engineer providing us with info and advice so we can focus more on racing.

That would be epic.

Biggest problem in the M6 are brakes acting as stabilizers for rear axle, if they changed it to be a bit more realistic it could be balanced. Right now as it is with open settings it will always be op or useless

BMW M6 GT3 is OP even in real life.

Project Cars 2 also has this issue. It considerably faster than any other GT3.

This sounds like a good idea. I feel like a race strategist would make the series even better. Also unlocked settings would be neat.
I don't want to be the Raikkonen/Bottas of my team......
I'm in the opposite. I like to be a wingman for any team.

Does this mean the limited-slip differential settings aren't fixed anymore? It's going to make some of the weaker manufacturers more viable.

UNLOCKED settings!
Yes please.

So many cars would immediately become so much better if tunings were opened up and gear ratios could be adjusted correctly.

Man it is so frustrating that I can get extra time I cant use, It would also stop nations and daily races becoming 1 horse races

This is the discussion thread for a recent post on GTPlanet:
This article was published by Andrew Evans (@Famine) on November 12th, 2018 in the Gran Turismo Sport category.

You just made my day @Famine . Here we were, having a quiet day off, thinking about what to write in our first post, and then we saw this. Big smile! Yesterday we dreamt with live events around the world, streamed in different languages, with public and cameras. Now we can dream with the next championship and team battles in GT Sport.
That is one of the things that make this franchise great, fifteen years and still dreaming. 👍
