What I like about the Gt games is many people can drive their real life cars, or everyday cars they see on the streets. Its not just supercars. For the Japanese players that are the big buyers of these games, they add 50 different versions of the skyline or 60 different civics so these people can race their real cars in a game...
Take that and switch it to North America. I look down my street and every 3rd driveway has a truck. 1 of every 2 has an SUV.
There are more F150's on my street then any other vehicle. Infact, there are more Dodge Ram's on my street then any single same model car.

It would only make sense that if you want to appeal to NA drivers the same way you do for Japanese drivers, having more SUVs and trucks would be pure cash.

Adding in the new model F150, Ram, Silverado, Tundra and Titian would be awesome.
Others like the Ram SRT10 and Ford Raptor(and Velociraptor), the Toyota Helix(also include the top gear one), rangers, canyons etc.
Common, how fun would it be to take the 6.2L supercharged Raptor around the Ring, or Trial Mountain.

Id love to race my 09 F150 crew cab 4x4 5.4L :)

Chevy HHR. Looks more like a car but it's based on a 1940's mail truck and on the vehicle registration, it's registered as a SUV/Truck.

Oh yes, I'd like to see more trucks/SUVs. But not only the top grade versions; I'd like normal, lower grade versions too, and diesel engined versions in particular. As they would only be variations of the top versions (modeling-wise) it wouldn't require too much time to include them too. They should.

I'm surprised no one has said the Dodge T-rex.

trex-front.jpg

Engine: 8.0L Magnum V10 modified
Power: 497 hp @ 5400 rpm
Torque: 593 lb-ft torque @ 3700 rpm
Drivetrain: 6-wheel drive

Performance data-
Straight line acceleration: 0-60 7.7 seconds
Standing 1/4 mile: 16.1 seconds @ 88 mph
Cornering: (max. lateral Gs) 0.74

How would you like to see this barreling up behind you?

Amen!!!!! That and the Dodge Ram SRT-10 are the beasts of trucks :trouble:! Don't get in the way. :sly:

And this truck brings back memories of tearing it up in Test Drive Off Road 2 or TDOR2, anyone here remembers that truck?

And like I said before, bring forth the Ram SRT-10 in GT5 and if I can equip a turbo or a supercharger and reach around 1000hp, then I'm a happy dude :D!

I'm actually surprised they didn't include diesel-powered versions of some Premium cars which in real life are available as diesels which would increase the total number of Premium cars rather easily without the need to remodel aside from some badges perhaps, and the differences compared to the petrol versions would justify it in my view.
I really liked the fact they included a BMW 120d in GT4 (the first diesel roadcar in a videogame?) along the petrol version but now the only new diesel cars are both the Audi and Peugeot Le Mans racers.
Maybe they were afraid to be accused of 'padding' their new selection again?
In this case they needn't be, a few diesel versions would add a welcome bit of variety.

I was gonna say, if Analog sees this picture he will be posting in minutes :)
The FIA European Truck Racing Championship sure looks a lot of fun to me and I think a couple of these trucks (or even one) would add a welcome bit of variety and sure has a place in a game like GT I reckon, Codemasters Toca Race Driver 3 had some racing trucks (yet it also included monster trucks..) and those Dakar rally raid trucks in the original Dirt were my personal favourites to drive in that game.
Let me rephrase that, I'd love to see them included.

The Smokey and the Bandit Trans Am (original from first movie, not sure about the other 2) doesn't exist anymore. They cut it up for scrap. The front end used to sit in the front of a local hospital entrance where I live. At least the real thing was cut up. They still have others that are identical.

Would have been sweet though, the Ban III Trans Am, the Special Edition. 650hp stock.....imagine full upgrades for it, probably 900+ horsepower =P

Why the hell was it a hospital?

 Am I that obvious? Yep, I like my trucks, a guilty pleasure perhaps but hardly a secret one anymore it seems.....

It seems...:)

@trk29

Don't ask me, I don't remember ever seeing it there (but I've seen pics so I know for sure it was there, had a sign and all). My dad said it was there for like 10-15 years and they got rid of it in '98.

I'd like to see a mixture of the midsize and full size trucks
Chevy S10 Extreme
Ford Ranger
Toyota Tacoma
Dodge Ram SRT10
Ford F150 Harley Davidson
and a premium Silverado
