GT_Prologue5 , there is a possible typo in your IA licence times somewhere as the IA total and GT total didn't match.

oldmodelt , your B licence has also a possible typo somewhere. Also your A8 is a same as your A7 so I left that out.


If you were able to detect the typos , post it and I shall edit in the correct times to post 1.

uh im not so good at math when it comes to that overall time thing but if you could fix it maybe? Its the worst time, yes, but i can't figure a way to correct it

What I meant was , that I'd like you to check if your licence specific times were correct.
I have alredy counted your total and overall times based on the times you wrote before.

Here are my A and International A-Class times. I did these last week and all I can say is arggghhhhhhhh. I could not gold a single one of them :lol: I don't know if this is as a result of playing on the PS3 or what but I don't ever recall finding these tests this difficult. :ouch:

I just tried B1 and B2 and im about to give B3 a go, but im obviuslly missing something on B2 unless the low 25s are typos. I've worked out a number of differnt factors such as the best revs to start from, the best revs to shift up on each gear. The exact spot the brake, and how many times to shift down for the best braking. Despite getting my times down to a standard im fairly pleased with, its difficult to imagine me ever getting a low 25. :grumpy:
If it does turn out to be correct would there be any chance uploading a vid to YouTube as i think i could learn alot from it? :)

It was quite fun pushing it to the next stage. Normally i would stop as soon as i get gold, but its interesting to see whats left after that.

Hi Famine. What do you mean? I cant see any vids :dopey:

I was refering to B2, you have a time of 26.3 which is similar to mine, but the top time is 25.2 which is a full second quicker. It just seems a bit of a large gap considering its just a 1000m stretch. The car is never really traction limited so it seems odd we should loose a second. I cant quite see where the opportunity is to gain or lose that much time. :ill:

Max maybe you can shed some light on it since you had the next best time of 25.3 💡

Yes. The top times in B2 seem to come from very well-judged handbrake turns. Essentially they brake very late and sideways and come to a halt perpendicular to the course early in the box.

Thanks very much for that Famine. I've had a few goes and im down to 25.8 but, i should be able to get a little more off when i play later. 25.2 is really going some still, but this technique is quite unpredictable so this proablly explains where i've been going wrong.
 
ok had a chance to make some improvements.

B1 is now 34.066
B2 is now 25.556
B8 is now 1.17.342
Total is now 4:24.546

I know there is still a couple of tenths left to go and get in most of my times as demostrated most effectively by jrose. 👍 but think that will do for me at this stage. I probally wont be able to start on A and IA untill after next weekend, but i will be sure to have a go. :)
