Hm, just realized I didnt order that additional cable for the shifter in my original order. Do I need that cable? What is it for?

Product name: Porsche Wheel pedal/shifter cable 2.5 m

I don't need to order this do I? Isn't it just a spare or something? :nervous:

The bundled shifter cable is only about 12" long, maybe less so if you are not mounting the shifter on the chopsticks or pretty close to the wheel you are gonna need the longer cable.

ordered my GT3/CSP and tuning kit Sunday and my account says delivered already. Just waiting for a tracking number now. should be here by the end of the week easy as I am in Arizona.

lucky man. Mine still says paid. Probably because they can't say delivered without the GT2. But I would like to know if they are gonna ship out things seperate.

Fanatec is shipping my pedals/shifters/2.5 M cable. Awesome!!! They were at first gonna just ship everything when the gt2 came into stock. But they said I could do a partial ship.

I know alot have been complaining about customer service, and had me worried. But all of my (and I have sent many) emails have been answered within a day or two. Which is not bad considering they are in Germany.

I think their customer service is stepping up and doing a good job.

Way to go Fanatec. Good to see that.

So far I've had my questions answered instantly so I have no complaints so far either. What do you plan to do with the partial ship? Oh right I guess it will be cool to have the product in your hands to hold and love on :D

Well I have a friend that has a carrera wheel. He said he would let me borrow it.

And yes, it will be nice to hold on to and love it. :)

Yes. So far excellent service. My wheel and pedals were promptly shipped and are on a truck out for delivery as I type this. I'm pumped. Just glad I don't own an xbox so I don't need the GT2.
3 days from time of order to having it in my hands. Couldn't be happier. Well I guess I could providing I recieve fully functional units.
Good Luck with your endeavor and I hope you can recieve the same quality of service I have to this point.

Took delivery last night. Packaged very well, even UPS couldn't damage them. Everything is in order and very NICE.Still working on getting it all set up. Couldn't resist and clamped the wheel on last night and had a short run in arcade mode at High Speed Ring in the Zonda. What a hand full. I will surely need to tinker with the settings.
This is really a step up from my G25 (which I am passing on to my brother) I could really feel the back end start to come around each time,( which was many) and I can even feel when my rear tires start to spin from too much throttle input. G25 didn't quite convey this feeling to me.
Will take some time to get it dialed in and get used to it but right now it seems like it will be so worth it.
G25 is a very good wheel, but, right now the the GT3rs v2 is feeling much better.
I'll finish getting it set up today and start dialing it in. Love the CSP's

Just put an order for clubsport pedals :) hope they are as great as everyone says they are.

Hellz yea they are. Just got mine 3 days ago, going to invert them this weekend! Here is a pic as it looks now. It is on my homemade stand. Wheel is screwed into place.

Nice one Ant.

Quick question for ya.

I have my wheel mounted to my Wheel stand pro.

To fit the chopsticks and shifter will I have to dismount it.

What I mean is, does it take a lot of force to squeeze on the sticks and shifter to the wheel?

Cheers man. Enjoy your pedals.

@spaghetti,

Getting the sticks/rods in is a bit of a task, but it really gets them in there good. BUT, with the shifter on, it moves way too much during shifting. I positioned my wheel on my stand so that the shifter was as close to the table as possible. You can see a little wedge of an 8x11" piece of paper folded to keep the shifter in a set spot.

My suggestion is to make your own placement/set spot for the shifter with some thru bolts and nuts somewhere around your chair or stand. The shifter has too much room/play to move with those sticks, it makes it to easy to brake it. By firming it up, and taking the play out of it, not only is it easier to shift, you do not have to worry if you get a little rough on it.

And yea, the pedals are dope, but as per thomas' video on here, I plan on putting the stiff gas spring on the clutch, and stiff clutch spring on the gas. He says it is the most real feel that way. I will post plenty of pics once I have them inverted and in there final resting spot!

Cheers mate, these things are the ****! Though, I am on the edge of my seat for this clubsport shifter. Come on Thomas, you can't keep us all waiting for too much longer! lol.

So my shifters/cables/clubsports just arrived. Had to unbox them and check them out. They are freakin awesome looking!!!!

Now I just have to wait for my wheel, in 2 months. lol.

My friend with the carrera wheel says he might sell it, and has a potential buyer. :grumpy: So I may be without a wheel. He was gonna let me borrow it, but now that might not happen.

oh well. Guess i can just stare at them. :)

Had a couple hours run with the new wheel and pedals last night. All I have to say is AMAZING ! These things are awesome. Was a bit slower than my G25 at first but I am getting them dialed in some and am running faster now than I was with the G25. The feel from this wheel is incredible and the csp are unreal. With the G25 I struggled to run without TC set to 1 (probably due to my driving style) and last night I was easily running with it off with the csp. The brake and throttle modulation are so easy and smooth on the csp. The feedback from the wheel is a pleasure. It's sooo much easier to catch the car if the back end starts to come around now.
I'm pretty happy with my purchase at the moment. Shipping was very quick, the products arrived in perfect condition and everything seems to be working flawlessly right now. I also bought the csp tuning kit but have yet to mess with any of that yet. Soon. As of now, I would highly recommend both the GT3RS V2 and the CSP for anyone that may be trying to decide. Well worth the money in my humble opinion.

Damn that's too bad man. Yeah 2 months seem like forever. Still debating on giving up on xbox 360 support... What kills me in certain regions there is no wait for fanatec gt2s (like the UK). I wonder how much it would cost to ship a fanatec gt2 from the UK to the US.... 💡

Probably to darn much. But you never know. I was also thinkin about giving up on the GT2 and just getting a GT3 rs. But then I realized, its just a couple of months. I know its a long time, but in the end, it will be worth the wait. Im excited to play Forza series on the xbox. I played it with the microsoft wheel, and it was pretty fun, but this will be amazing.

So I was gonna borrow my friends carrera wheel. He sold it. darn.

Now I have a brand new set of clubsport pedals/shifter set that I have to just stare at till my GT2 comes in. lol.

Lol. it's gonna be a long time till may. Lets hope they can ship it out earlier than that.

I always read about people playing Live for speed, rfactor, iRacing, gt legends, gtr evolution, etc. I've had a lot of sim knowledge stuff into my brain since ive been here. Before, all i knew about was console racing games

NFS shift 2 and f1 2010 are both on pc too
