GT2 on PS3

So my copy of GT2 came through the post this earlier it plays fine on my PS3, but the controller messes it all up..when i acellerate, it goes up a few miles an hour then back down and my thumb is aching so much from pushing the x button so much! my controller is not a Sony DS3, its another branded one, do i need a new controller..or a PS1?

It is the controler. I play gt2 on my ps3 with a ds3 and I have no problems.
 
Hi guys, is there any settings I can use so the graphics aren't so jaggy? I can't remember the graphics being so bad and I watched a video on YouTube and its totally different. Any tips would be great.
 
I've been playing the hell out of GT2 for the past few months. Sure it's dated compared to what is out now.. but the game itself is still awesome. Although I had to buy another new copy of the game as the one I originally had fell in the hands of my 4 year old cousin.. it didn't end well for the disc itself. Anywho, GT2 is in my opinion ONLY.. one of the best racing games ever made. Again, its my opinion.. not up for debate at least on my end.

was it on PS3? there are some ways (that are forbidden to discuss re:stickies) to play PSX games on PC and they can improve the graphics
