I'm not. I'm just stating truth.

though i am considering some names.

Team Gripers Planet.

??

do you need a hug?

Here's an idea.....

A spot race where replay verification is a must...to truely prove the fastest members.

Yeah, but fastest with one car and on one track. Wouldn't you want to see the diversity displayed by potential candidates.

For example: Your race series Zero. In the final race at Monoco in the 787B. I was about 2 seconds ahead of the 2nd place Mr. Holland. Would this be a good example of mine and Mr. Hollands skills? For some odd reason, I just owned that track hard with the 787B, and I did not consistently beat Mr. Holland in any other race by 2 seconds. It was just an odd happenstace. Or your race in the drafting series where you placed 3rd at SSR5 wet. This is what I think that Talentless is trying to avoid. To see the levels of diversity in the potental candidates.

Well then he better take out SSR5, any of them, and GVS2 then.

If you want diversity, GTD2 is diversity man, teams of 3 running different cars and racing, thats where its at.

Yeah, so wouldn't you want the team that is to represent GTPlanet to be as diverse as possible and to be able to handle what jmr has thrown at them? To excell in all aspects and not just in certain areas?

If we could have someone like Didi, who is a settings GOD, a few racers like jean and the rest like me and you, we are set. But seeing has how there are only a handful of racers on this forum, we dont have that privlage, I still vote for the fastest racers, consistancty wont get you anywhere if you arent fast to begin with? Time Trials also are not a great test because they show what you can do with stock settings not your very own personal settings and among other things, some of us (mainly me) suck at TTs.

I'm always ready for everything that Jean has to throw at me as long as I dont get the Lister or the scoobie.

I do see your point Zero and I do also agree with it. When it all boils down to it, we need some fast mother F'ers. But I also see Talentless' point also and I think that weeding out the "fluke" driver (like me at Monoco in the 787,) is a must!

But, addressing the issue of the number of people that actually participate in race events what would you suggest. I know of some fast people here, but they are not active posters. Got any suggestions on finding that diamond in the rough?

Yeah, or that damn Panoz. What a dissapointment that car was! I'm always ready as well, but are others as ready for it as we are?

Our diamond in the rough is trying to convince sir Ron and Kelly not to quit but that wont happen

i would love to compete in thsi competition but...

i know what cars to use but tell me what tracks do i do??? I have competed in one other series at GTF, though it was suspended due to the organiser's wife having some troubles :( i am competing in another series now at GTF...

The courses are the ones in time trial. Take each car and run three laps forward and reverese in each course. Some you can't because of the game design. Zero, remember that these things are all an option. I just want ppl to show me why they should be on the team. I might get a guy that can only drive 4wd but is weak at rear wheel drive. I don't know what who and where a team member will race. I just need to know ppl can handle various vehicle/course types. heck, someone can just copy paste racing-line times. whatever.

mobil1, vat_man, neon_duke, .12sec. Civic, do you all have verification methods (video, shark port, etc.), and how fast are you? can you race multiple vehicle types and courses?

this does not mean you all are in, i just need information

i'm good with the JGTC cars if you need any to do those races. i might try midfield today with an NSX and put my times up

:)

i'm not determining the races in the series. how are you in time trials. good with FF cars and cars like the speed six. what about r11?

i'm considering just skipping the challenge. too much of the notorious complacency. i have a few members in mind for the team. i dunno where you'll place, i need some example times.

i have tuned the speed six to perfection and it rocks :) Just tell me what you want me to run and where and ill do it today, and get the times up tommorow :)

ok, i have to go so i will do that, and get the times posted in about:

4-5 hours. :)

ok, my times on apricot hill raceway II:

1 - 21.621 [21.621]
2 - 50.314 [28.693]
3 - 1:04.852 [14.538]

FINAL - 1:20.326

hope its good, i thought i could've got mid-1:19's but i stuffed up. only had a 20 minute stint on it :)

Hmm, I'm afraid you'll need to be a bit faster. See if you can comfortably get into the low 1:19s or mid 18s.

im fast enough, ill go run the hill now

if its got wheels i can drive it

yes i have a verification method (sharkport)

my favorite drivetrain though is most definately FR so if that makes any difference, so be it.

OK :) I didn't specifically tune it for apricot, just realised i last had it on midfield so i have to tune it some more :) Will get a time back in 24 hours. Hopefully :)
