Just watched the replay.....WOW. First 8 laps was quite a battle for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, until Kevin finally pulled away. Lap 3 specifically was as tight as I've raced with such minimal if any contact. Great racing Kevin and That Guy during those first 10 laps.
 
How did you get the replay ? Could someone put the replay up so i can watch it, thanks

After the race, when you go into the results you can download the replay video. Unfortunately it's a file format that doesn't translate from the game very well.

Sorry guys, i got disconnected from the lobby server after the race, had a good time, tho my car was rather slow ... my best time was only 2:07, maybe because i don't use abs ... it costs me the race, bumped troy on 2nd turn on 1 st lap, sorry troy, had to drive slowly with heavy left tire damage and went to pit on 2nd lap, it was my 1st race organized by GTP member, looking forward to race again, cheers

Hey Lukey, I managed to calm down after last nights race and the world is a much better place today. :sly:

I did got some damage out of it and I had to change my strategy from 1 to 2 stops. Just please do all of us a favour and be a bit more cautious the next around. Incidents like we had in lap one can happened, whether you didn't used ABS, where a little overexcited while breaking into the corner, miss judged the draft or all of it. It happened to all of us at some point.

I was actually more disappointed in the little "situation" we had in the last lap. That_Guy and I had a great battle going on for 3rd and when we were going to lap you, you were acting like we were racing for position and pushed me of track. Please try to remember for the next time to let people pass when they are fighting for position while being lapped.

Anyways, it's all good and I know it won't happened again therefore let's forget about it and move on! :cheers:

I have to put out a big kudos to That_Guy who waited for me after the incident and did not took advantage of the situation! This showed a great sportsmanship to me mate!!! 👍👍👍

I thought that replay in GT5 can be copied to flash drive and shared with others, so is it in different format than the usual replay ? Please, if any of guys who race last time could provide me with a replay so I can learn your fast lap times ...:D

Thanks TroyLee for pointing out the last lap " situation", I got carried away with situation, I should have known better, being overlapped, I should have taken a different race line and give way to other cars that overlapped me. I learned a lot during my 1st race with GTP members, I'll try my best in the future races, be more cautious, considerate and adhere to the rules at all times.

Oh yes perhaps. I thought you meant to post it as a video online. Sorry! And don't worry about having a bad race, I've been the backmarker in several series for a while now :)

OP updated as well as points.

Please read the pre-race discussion as this week it is particularly important. No excuses for avoidable contact. Racing incidents are racing incidents, but recklessness will come with consequences, FYI. It basically just comes down to being courteous and patient. That said, I hope we have a good race!

I was wondering the same? Having been away for the weekend, I find myself in need of some seat time, however, I'm not a huge fan of Monaco :indiff:
 
I might not make the race Sunday, moving this weekend. But ill try to show up if i can.
 
Well, even if no-one else has, I managed to get some laps in today. Fluked a 34.9xx, but generally around the mid-high 35's. As long as we don't fall out with the walls, we should be just fine! :D
 
Should be able to make it tonight after all, moved in to a new place and got the internet on this morning. In the process of setting my living room up, see you guys tonight.
 
Gonna need someone to host tonight and probably next week, as I'll be in Boston for a week. Sorry guys, thought I'd be able to make it tonight but I have to pack and go into work for a bit. Whoever hosts can just post the results here.

I can yeah, i just hope people show up. Monaco is such a fun track when you get it right, ill probably open a room around 8pm est to get some practice in.

EDIT: Because i dont have my router hooked up i cant be on my laptop and the PS3 at the same time, so if im going to host you will have to FR me and join in that way. Unless someone else wants to do it.

Yeah leave it to me to get stuck on pit entrance. Lol. Hit a wall on lap 5 tried to pit on lap 7 car was going straight then the car was sideways??? Too funny! Wanted to watch the replay but I got booted before the money screen too.

I got black-screened at the end too, but didn't have time to get back in the room as I had another race to get to, sorry. I would have been interested to see how THAT_GUY got stuck in the pits too, but obviously no-one could get the replay. It was quite amusing to see how he was stuck when I pitted early to free him :D.

Thanks for the kind words Kev, but I don't think there is any magic in my tune as the only thing I changed from my Fuji/SSR5 set-up was the tranny and diff'. I was fortunate enough however to keep it off the walls today, except for a few minor brushes.

I really wish the attendance was better for this series though as it's such a fun car to drive it's a shame more don't see it. If it stays like this, I'm not sure if I'll continue what with the closeness to the other series I'm running too.

Dang thats quite a trip! Cant blame you for wanting to chill out for the evening. Although this means one less driver tonight.
 
I'm going to bow out of this series guys, sorry. It's a real shame those that signed up didn't stick with it as it's set up really well with a fun car to drive too. Squeezing this into my schedule with only a handful of people racing is something I can't afford to do.

Tonights race canceled due to lack of people. We can push back the race til next week to get more people to show. Only me, troy, and kevin showed up.
