I would give it a go if I had a chance to test the car (I lost it along with about 400 others when my data corrupted) As im quite a nocturnal person and ive allways wanted to attempt to race one of these nutcases :p. Im right in thinking EST is 4 behind GMT? Which would make it 1-2am. (I already compete in a series on saturday at this time so sundays would be best :))

Hey Paul,

Forgot to reply to this. If you need the car I can send one over to you? Don't think I have you on my friends list, so just send a request over and it will be done ;). Oh and 9pm EST will be 2AM GMT for you in the UK.

Picture of my Race car up and a change to my team name below.

Ill see if I have one Tower never checked but if I do ill gladly send it over as I never use chromes or atleast barely do.

Edit: Thanks Welsh for the car, now ill find a unique colour scheme and test it :D.

Also are we using the rear wing, after seeing Welshes car without the aero mod im just wondering.

You can't add aero to this car in GT5 Paul ;)

@TT. Have you thought about putting the new scheduled time in the title of the thread? It might spark some more interest if you're hoping to get a few more entries :)

Ah damn was about to edit it out just took it out of the nice box you delivered it in ;). Well that makes it interesting then :D.

Edit: Welsh your car looks sorta like Harveys car in Porsche Cup GB and as such give me a flash back to this!

Its Charles Bateman crashing his Porsche in 2008 after completely locking up at Duffus (1st corner of Knockhill). And I had to be sitting dirrectly opposite where the car came to rest so got a sore head from gravel hitting me :ouch:.

It was, to add to that it was my first visit to Knockhill for the BTCC (Porsches were a support race). Theres 8 more of those pics that show the start of it to the end but I thought it best not to post them all.

Im now deciding on colours to try not to clash with anyone elses but its hard and TT the only Chrome Gold I got is the DLC one which looks too dark.

Lol. Not sure if they still do. I was browsing for a color scheme and found this picture of a diecast model and decided that was it.

Lol okay then. I wanted that color too

So Sundays practice round will be at Tokyo?

Edit - Sorry, its literally like the second or third line in the first post.

Yep! And there are sections of the track I can already tell are going to be crazy with traffic. It's better than London, though.

Pre-race Discussion, Tokyo Preseason Race

picture.php

For a city track, Tokyo has a decidedly large amount of good passing spots on a few of the long straights and wide-paved corners and bends. Thus, there is no real excuse for making dangerous passes that cause wrecks, or using the walls to maintain momentum (as we will be running full damage, this clearly won't work). Through the winding Sotobori Dori section toward the end of the lap leading into Shuto-ko, the road narrows significantly and passing here will require extreme patience and car-control, as racing lines through this section may include a driver crossing the track several times. It is easier to pass in the Akasaka-Mitsuke hairpin turn leading to the back straight. Also, be aware we are on racing hards and the kink in the main straightaway requires the driver to actively prepare for the turn, especially in traffic. Pitting is fairly straightforward, just obey the pit lane markings for entry/exit.

If you have any concerns/questions/lap times you want to post, feel free. Flyin if it's okay with you I want you to be a race steward with me in the event of rule violations, unless you are directly involved in an incident, so we can objectively give penalties if/when they apply.

All this would entail is saving the race videos and reviewing if necessary, giving your opinion.

Look forward to racing with you all!
