I'm impressed, it was so clean compared to most other races I've done. Everybody was so calm into the first couple of corners.
Did everybody pit for tires?
The one thing i would change is the rule about tires. The hard tires only last 1-2 laps longer than mediums.Keep the lap total high enough that a stop is needed but leave it up to the drivers which tires to use.
I did on about lap 11. Was hoping I'd get a bit of a catch up on the last couple of laps of the race, never happened though. Oh well live and learn.
I think tires shouldn't be limited either. That way its up to you with regards to pit strategy. Fast and many or slow and none. What are peoples thoughts?
It was a great race with A1-242 for the win.
He managed to overtake me before the 130-R, and the win was his.
Great clean fight.
Good first lap with people keeping cool.
I usually preffer the heavy damage too, and the weather change would be great.
I'm off to watch the replay. 👍
And yeah. Pitted at the end of Lap 10, while i was ahead of A1-242, but i spun out in my out lap, so he managed to get out of the pit in front of me. And an epic battle folowed.
Clearly it was a pretty wide span of racers, the 2.06 time was very impressive! As posted before everyone was cool and didn't do to much damage the first few turns.
I do agree that we should do the next race with full damage.
Regarding tires, what are everyones opinion here. Shall we let the tire choice free or limit it to hard or medium?
Regarding weather it's up to the majority to decide, but my vote will be on dry racing but time changes would definitely be fun.
If we keep a good group of racers, we should consider turning the penaltys off.
I really hate the ghost cars.
We can give the medium tires a try. I know some tracks are a little slipier to the hards, like nurburgring GP.
The biggest problem i was having in practice was it took 3 laps to get the tires warmed up enough to run quick.I spent most of the time warming tires up then having my best laps ruined by some cars that were running in the middle of the track way off the pace.
I was glad to finally get back in to watch the end of the race.A1 and Kamy had a great battle for the last 8 laps. The lead changed hands several times and they raced clean.
Its too bad the guys further back never got to finish the race, the 30 clock ended the race early.
Great race, i had an amazing battle with KamyKaze1098, had to watch the replay straight after. Normally i get bored watching half way through, but todays kept me watching.
Thanks to ZybeR for setting it up, looking forward to more.
The only thing I'd change would be the end race timer, make it a minute or so. But everything else I vote we keep it all the same, I had a very good time. Thank you all for the clean race.
I guess i missed out on a good race. Wish i could hhave stuck around but i doubt my customer would have appreciated me putting him off for a game. At 2:06 i doubt i had a chance at a podium but still sounds like a blast nonetheless. Next time...
My shining moment of glory! Leading into turn 1...
Clearly my off-road excursions didn't help my finish.
Re: Weather. As mentioned there was a wide range of racers in the race, and rain would only frustrate and turn away the less skilled (I count myself in that group).
Re: Tires. I'm happy with RH. Heck, I ran my first few laps of practice on SS. I couldn't figure out why I was 3 seconds off my pace.
