I can't figure this dang thing out:banghead::mad: anyone else think the car is tough to tune????

my best time is a 11.134

That car is a major pain in the rear end, the most difficult car to get a competitive time with that I tried, Worse than an Escudo in my book. I played with it for a bit and got 11.00'x pre 2,08 but it can still do 10.8's I think.

Don't ask questions this car is stupid weird. It goes against pretty much every rule of tuning I can think of.

You don't add weight to the front of an already front heavy car bro.

I just tried that it made it .3xx slower :/

I haven't tried it but maybe try reversing toe settings , spring rates and ride heights. Positive camber on front instead of negative ? I don't know, I'd be trying all kinds of stupid things now.

I'll try the toe reversed and see how it does

EDIT: Okay, I figured one thing out rear toe should be 0.00 it shaved off .052!!!!

If my memory doesn't fail I think AKA a while back made a thread about this car, I don't think a tune was shared but he did discuss the weird peeve this car has, it might be more than a year old.

But, remember, it is AKA we are talking about, his one year old tips can still work today ;)

Rear toe should be 0.00 and front toe should be max IIRC. Mine ran mid 10.8s before the patch.

@C-losk

I remember that thread, had quite a few of us breaking records in there with it. This car is mad squirrely and doesn't follow hardly anything that is what we call a traditional tune. I think this car has a sweet spot for 175ish ballast. Might be slightly lower though, depends on your transmission and suspension setup really. Sometimes more ballast is better and sometimes less if better depending on how well you can tune this cars transmission. This car was like the Cuda, made me rage quite a bit, along with the '63 Stingray Coupe. Those IMO and the Trans Cammer are the 4 worst muscle cars to tune. The Shelby Mustang is different from them all, same with the Trans Cammer where as the '63 Vette and the Cuda share a common type of tune ie: shifting really low, around 5,000rpm etc.

If I hope on GT5 later tonight for whatever reason I'll take a look at my tune and give you some pointers here. I highly doubt you can get much into the 10.8s, my guess would absolute top tunes wouldn't see much better than 10.87x

yea I know I definetly wont get into the 10.8's, I only got 563HP instead of 581 :(

That right there will make you lucky to see 10.9s

darn it, ohh well I might just pull an all nighter with this one I REALLY want to get this thing at least .050 off the record time. I have 1 restore ticket left so I think i'm going to use it on this and break it in then see what i can do with it.

EDIT: instead of quick shifting 1-2 I let 1st ride out till 38MPH then shifted and it shaved off .013

Ohhh I wouldn't waste too much more time on a car that's down almost 20 hp.

Don't waste a restore ticket, Just get someone to dupe you a low mileage one, if you can wait i'll send one Monday night

I just tinkered with my gt 350 and now it runs 10.985, previous best was 11.040 with a good shift.

Great job man:tup: I am just trying to find on with low miles now as the one I am tuning only has 563hp

If you still need one I think I have either a 0/0/0 or one with a few hundred miles, can't remember if I used the fresh one or not. I'll send it tomorrow night if I get home...they're calling for another dumping of snow up here tonight and tomorrow.

Just got a GT350R with 581HP Thanks Mikey!!!
