Nope, the wing on the airbox is missing, and some other details are different, too. Maybe the GT4 car is an older version?

ultimately, I don't think you can pin this car onto any specific F1 model... it more like a combination of different parts from different cars...

Yeah, it seems to be based on this car. The side pods with the exhuast and winglets and the work around the air intake and body. The only things that are different are the barge boards, rear wing, bodywork on the spine of the engine cover and the minor difference on the front wing.

Thats not a wing it`s an aerodynamic housing for a tv camera, all formula 1 cars have to have them. So don`t read anything into it not being on the PD F1 car. And also you only have to wait 10 days then you will get all the information you ask for thats 1 week and 3 days. And if you like me in the UK. that will be 9 days as the first reports will hit the net before midnight as the Japanese game shops will most probably open at 00:01 of the 28th to sell copies. which is around 2pm on the 27th if my time zones are correct. we just need to be patient guys and gals. :)

Great! We got le mans, Nurb, different backfire for certain cars, I'm happy as hell! sinner, did you see the venice track? And I remember hearing there would be a london based track in the game. If venice isn't in the demo you played, that couldn't be the final build or maybe trashed the venice track. Either way, I'm thinking that might be the build pd was going to release on the 3 of this month for asia rather than the game that's going to be released in a matter of weeks. I really want to see more le mans cars! the bentley speed8, R8, C60, LMR, 87-C aren't just enough! I want the ugly but power panoz lmp, the chylser lmp would be so welcomed and some more group c's! Did you by any chance check out the 80 car makers if they were present? I'm hoping a certain automaker made it, this certain automaker made the enzo :P

You ask far too many questions yet answers will be avaliable very soon. There is no Venice track, there are two photo mode locations there. San Marco Square and from the Rialto Bridge, if you knew basic Japanese or even Katakana you could read it on NavyAD's 3rd scan :).
 
incidentally, I felt the backfire of the alfa could have been bigger... but its all cool... also saw the pagani backfire too which was pretty dope
 
Lovely! How far did the flames extend on the alfa? I really hope that zonda was tuned because I doubt a normal zonda could backfire, or can it? Either way, thxs for the info! I bet the backfire on the zonda is awesome 👍 I see you suggested the cars you drove sounded good. In your opinion, would you say PD has finally got the car sounds right this time? And how were those visuals? If you know me, I'm visuals whore, can't help it lol and how were those final physics?
 
Cobra all a car needs to do to backfire is let unburnt fuel into the exhaust, it doesn't happen just on heavily tuned cars, my mates 2.5Bhp go-kart could backfire, obviousely you don't see stock Civic doing it but I'll have to let somoene else explain further.
 
I think a stock Zonda would backfire when raced, it has a tuned engine and fairly short exhausts.

Well from what I saw, the flames extended about as high as the metal foils on the bumper, which I guess really isn't that high... on another backfire note, the patterns were different... some came back to back (in a bang-bang pattern), others were just single bangs... guess it depends on how you hit the throttle... as for the sounds, I fell the sounds improved... like with the SLR, it sound very similar to what I heard on those Merc SLR commercials... I also noticed (from my own demo disc from the Japanese PS2 mag) that the tire sounds were improved... having said all that, however, it was pretty noisy there... visuals, much improved... for starters, monaco looked a lot better... more details on the buildings...
 
So one backfire on the alfa could involve all the pipes at the same time while one backfire can involve one pipe? That's great! Looks like PD has really made gt4 very detail. You know, I believe I have seen the Model T in old movies backfire. It was like a small cloud of black smoke and a bang, would be funny if PD included that lol

Meh. The days of looking at replays of the 787b car and expecting something to come out the exhaust is over when I get gt4 :lol:

Chill out, Im just curious of the sounds im not hung up on it. I think if he had other new info he would have meantioned it by now.
 
It may be a small thing but it all adds up to the atmosphere of the game imo.

My advice to you:

- take a DC
- buy a 512 MB flash memory
- send Jordan a PM and ask him to give you extra space for multimedial content per user
- go to the show
- take the pictures of following things:

• every car selectable
• every track selectable
•*every screen with optinos that is not the screen you've already photographed
• every view to the game
• everything that you may find intresting
• particulary the things you do not find intresting. Someone else could.
• make some movies too

- go home
- upload everything
- take a nap
- wake up in the morning. You'll have 1000+ new best friends.

Indeed. I can see it now, 787b car, on the Nurb, going down the straight hearing that lovely backfire :D I dont care what saint says, I'm crazy for this backfire in the game and it does add atmosphere in the game. You'd be surprised what small features can make a game so great for people.
