tip shut up =P It's in and when we get visual proof, you will clean everyone on this board house :dopey:👍

I would venture a guess and say that the F1 car is made up from various cars, or simply imitating a bunch of them at the same time. None of the cars on the 2004 grid had a nosecone that was rounded like that (looks a bit like a bullet, actually). It might be inspired from various cars, for instance, that nosecone reminds me of the 1997 Tyrrell, and the front wing's straight off the Renault R24.

you what??? tell me ur kidding plz!!!

Could you please use proper grammar from now on?

* No slang words that promote laziness, ie; "r", "u", "plz", etc.

Taken straight from the rule book. Consider this a warning, and let that be known and applied for everyone, not just you. I'd also suggest everyone to watch their language if they don't want to receive a few christmas gifts in the form of PMs warning them about their actions.

Not just the front wing the whole car seems to be based on it. I've tried to mark out the same bits with red lines. :dunce: As I said in a early post theres different bits but most is of the Renault IMO. Now looking at the nose now it could be the same, but with the angle of the pictures its hard to judge.

Nah, it's not the same nose. Look at the Renault, near the wheels it flattens down and forms a keel, unlike the PD car. The PD car looks like it has a Reynard Champ Car nosecone on an F1 body. Tires aren't grooved, either, which further leads me to the conclusion it's a made up car.

I thought that F1 teams change the nose and front spoiler on a regular basis depending on the track & downforce requirements? So it could be modeled from an actual car with an alternate nose/spoiler.

i only think they change the spoiler. Correct me if i'm wrong

Ok it looks as if that PD F1 is defantly a hybrid car. I REALLY hope it handles like a real F1 car and not like they did in GT3. In GT3 the F1's were drastically over exaggerated when it came to their handeling.

The front nose looks very close to a 2000 Minardi "in attached pic" The airbox might be around 95-97, the air inlet looks like a later year since its more triangular but the spine of the air box says 95-97ish since its curved and not sharp and straight. Cockpit area's are around 2000-2004. The side pods are around 2002-2004 doesnt matter which car since most have their side pods exactly like that with little modifications here and there, most likely its a renualt's. The barge boards look like 2002 or 2003 Ferrari's. The rear wing is something ive never seen before on a real F1, nowday's we are seeing a slight V shape in the elmement's but no W shape. Oh yeah it has slicks ;)

I'm pretty sure its a hybrid of many years.

Wow, a lot of posts for just one day.. hehe. Took a bit of reading. :)

I'm still interested to find out which version of LeMans is there (or if there are multiples, which ones), and whether the DeLorean mentioned earlier is indeed the classic DMC-12. :)

2004 spec CART Reynard

PD's F1 car.

Looks fairly similar in shape, with an F1 style wing bolted underneath. Either way, it's not a real car.

um...no

The CART car has almost nothing in common with this Polyphony car. The CART car has no airbox, the sidepods are square, the rear wing is a different shape, it doesn't have the winglets on the sidepods, and the nose and front wing aren't even close...

I have one question. Under the french category, what is the manufacturor to the far right, above audi?

Doesn't look anything like it I'm afriad. It has no lines that are the same, the only similarities are that is has open wheels, lol. Anybody who is an avid Formula One fan can identify with me, that although to most Champ cars, and Indy cars look the same as F1 cars, they definitely do not :p

As for the power outputs of the LMPs, I do believe that they are all restricted to 550hp or so they say. It was in a car magazine, they tested an R8 and talked to i believe Allain McNish and he was commemnting on what a great car it is with 550hp, but how much better it would be with 700, 800, or 900hp.

Somebody asked about Australian cars earlier in this thread, but then it seemed to go off on a tangent on the Formula 1 car... If someone has a chance can they please look up which Australian cars are in it? Especially the Holdens, lots of us have been waiting to see if any Commodores make the final cut, and screenshots of them if possible. Also I'd be interested in knowing if any pre-1996 Ford Taurus models (currently there are 2 older Taurus SHO's listed as red or green on 359's list but not confirmed in black) or the Chevy Impala SS (1994-96) might have been added at the last minute. Finally, screenshots of the Ford F-150 SVT Lightning or Dodge Ram Hemi Quad Cab, which I believe were recently confirmed in black on 359's list. Thank you.

I have one question. Under the french category, what is the manufacturor to the far right, above audi?

Hommell.

And as for the CART/F1 car, the nosecone on the CART car is not a perfectly pointed cylinder, the bottom only barely comes up and only at the very front of the car. On an F1 car, the nost is coming up nearly the entire time from the sidepods forward.

btw ... I prefer the name Clio rather than Lutecia
supposed to use "Clio" for chinese version
at least Renault sell Clio not Lutecia in Hong Kong

Lucetia is just the name of the Clio in Japan. It'll likely be called Clio in North America and Europe.

It would have been nice to have the latest RenaultSport Clio 182.

Oh yes, one other thing, I noticed with the Japanese demo that the "in-car" sound was rather muted, this was somewhat annoying, and I hope they put it right.

You ask far too many questions yet answers will be avaliable very soon. There is no Venice track, there are two photo mode locations there. San Marco Square and from the Rialto Bridge, if you knew basic Japanese or even Katakana you could read it on NavyAD's 3rd scan :).

venice doesn't have streets for cars, it's all water and boats, but it's nice for photo mode

Man this is unbelievable info! I'm still awaiting the OFFICIAL car and track list though...i guess we'll know within 10 days. Keep the info coming! Great job everyone. I'd like to contribute, but i'm not good at searching for Japanese sites..etc. thanks everyone.
