GT4 Complete Arcade Car Testing List (Part 3 - All Over Bar the Shouting)

Quick update - just a few Hondas and a couple of Mazda/Nissan stragglers to go and I'm done.

Incidentally - not lazy modelling at all, PD, having the 1990, 1993 and 1995 Honda NSX all turn precisely the same laptime.

Okay - this is pretty much the final version. I need to do a little day-wasting, in order to buy a few cars - two Preludes ('96 Type S and SiR), two old Hondas (N360 and S800), the '92 NSX Type-R, the Mazda 110S L10B, a 1999 Skyline GT-R V-Spec, Stagea RS and Skyline 1500 Deluxe, but that's it.

I should note that you will probably wonder why only 710 (or 719 when I'm done) cars. This is because used cars are counted as if they were new in Arcade mode (and so are duplicates - I'm thinking the black LMP/GroupC cars) and Opels are Vauxhalls (and so are duplicates too). If you know any better - that I've missed testing a car on the car list - do let me know.

Needs a sticky

I agree 👍

Famine,

this is another great peice of work, if theres anyone else as dedicated to GT4 as you, I want to see them, this definatly deserves it's own sticky.

Famine
Fastest non-F1: Toyota Minolta C88-V - 1'15.002 (2nd)

I do believe you mean 88C-V. ;)

The Great Indigo Brainbox of Smarts
Fastest road car: Cadillac Cien - 1'33.022 (87th)
Fastest FF car: Citroen Xsara Rally Car - 1'33.763 (95th)

That is astonishing. A 300bhp wrong-wheel drive rally car within .7 of a second of a Cien with, what, 700hp? :scared:

Shows how much difference racing tyres make.

Great job Famine 👍

One question: what file format is the document? (.xls or what?)

This is brilliant Famine, +REP 👍
Like others have said, this needs a sticky. I would love to see another person just as dedicated as you (Scaff maybe), just out of interest, what is your fastest A-Spec lap with the Formula GT??

My fastest time with the F1 was on Tokyo R246. The time was 1:15.234

Flame me for resurrecting an old thread if you must, but I'm here to pay homage to Famine once again for this invaluable list! In less time than it takes to get a set of new alloy wheels stolen in Brixton, I was able to compile a couple of reasonably well balanced handicap series for use at a head-to-head meet today! (I downloaded this at around 1am this morning!)
Procrastination? Can't that wait until tomorrow? :P

+ Rep for another magical spreadsheet.

@ Famine PM me if you'd like details of the "Convertible Handicap" or "Race Car Handicap", although I suspect you've already got plenty planned for the next UKGTP. :) I'll discuss more about testing time and your methods when I see you there! I'll buy you a pint (or 10, to slow you down! :mischievous:) for your gargantuan efforts in compiling this!

Forgot to mention, that I can't be alone in thinking that information of this calibre should surely be stickied, or at least given a link in the FAQ section, can I? :)
It's only because I remembered this thread existed from a long time ago that I was able to do some digging and exhume it. It shouldn't have to be like that! ;)

Good Lord Overseer Famine,
Mine own skull crampeth at the thought of attempting, what thou has so skillfully achieved. I know not of what it all means, but I am duly impressed nonetheless.
Yours Respectfully
Fangio

P.S. Regards to Pestilence

Indeed, as did I - which means it has now been tested and found to work with Windows XP SP1, SP2, SP3, Windows Vista and Windows 7 and nothing more than the OSs' own decompression software.

...and I have found it not to work with XP(SP2) and Windows 7, though It worked fine for me some years ago with 98.

It obviously doesn't like what you said about it. :D

Have a pop with 7zip. Also, you coming to Basingstoke in May?

I was a bit critical of it back then, wasn't I.

I'm waiting for news from 3 fronts as to whether or not I'll be able to make it.

...and now for something more relevant...

I now have over 400 cars tested (A-spec) on my three chosen tracks. Hope to have them all done soon.

Woah. Thanks for showing us all the fastest car in each category except for the fastest overall category, but that one is obvious. You must have had a lot of time on your hands.
