Don't pester the poor guy and be thankful that he put some up at all... I know if I had GT4 I wouldn't be putting any time posting clips on these forums.
 
would be great if someone made a sample of the Catherham Fireblade... and other cars that sound extreme and different... 👍 I know I would if I had the game... ;)

No, the M3 sounds just about right. Perhaps it's not as whiny at the top end like it sounds in real life, but if you pay close attention, the sound is pretty damn close.

I went to Bimmerfest East in Nassau Coliseum, flooded with E46 M3's. I know what M3's sound like. :)

I own an E46 M3, so I know what an M3 sounds like as well. ;)

With the windows up, I can say that the engine sounds in the clip are somewhat accurate. However, with the windows down, you can truly hear the high-pitch rasp that comes after the 6000rpm mark, and this is what is missing in the sound clip.

It's really not that disappointing, and this is coming from someone who owns the car. :)
 
Also, I think all of these recordings were done in a dyno lab, and if you have ever heard an M3 on a dyno, you will find that the sounds recorded are almost identical in sound.

It's one thing to record the sounds with car on a dyno, and another to hear the sound of the engine screaming when you are actually driving the car.

I can't speak for the other cars listed as I don't own any of them, but that is likely the case with most.

Mercury Cougar XR-7
Mazda Cosmo Sport
Nissan Cube (just for laughs)

If you could record any of these I would appreciate it.

What kind of sound Benz patent car and daimler motor carriage has? Have they really recorded ALL sounds from real cars, even those two? Akira please put more samples!

would it be too much to ask for the ford taurus sho, the dodge ram hemi, and all the camaro cars? if only two, JUST THE SHO AND THE HEMI!!!!! :) :) :)

That's because the thread is 1 year old, so I can't really do anything.
 
Sorry guys, I assumed that, after so much time, people that want to hear GT4 engine sounds at this time would buy the game, now that it's available everywhere at discount prices. So, I removed all the files since they were being downloaded from every major gaming site around the world, consuming a lot of bandwith.

Again, sorry.
 
It's not really your fault. As Ryosuke_Gunma said, the thread is a year old now, so it's unfair to expect the files to still be up.
