Well, if he didn't actually drive then he can certainly copy the moves! He even lifts his right foot off the accelerator at the right time (watch in the first vid)!....Nah..I think he really did it!

Maybe he's 18 but with some kind of growth hormone problem?

Can I just say I second that ?....

That two test are really not that easy. No way he drives it himself. I say no

Probably a video capture of the race, playing back and he's just turning the wheel. And the sound of the wheel is also made by just turning it, not only by FF

And if he is driving them himself, then I'll eat my shoe

I'll just let the videos do the talking :

Video1 (1.85 MB)

Video2 (750 kB)

This takes "videogame generation" to a whole new level. I envy the kid, not only does he get gold in the test, but he is able to play GT4 when I'm still waiting for the PAL release! :)
i think you'll find he's playing prologue!!!

Anybody who has GT4 will know that it's in actual fact GT4P, given that them 2 licence tests don't exist in GT4 and that the soundtrack is from GT4P.
Rest my case.
As for the kids driving........give me a break. the words LOCK and THREAD in the same sentence spring to mind.
:dunce:

I apologize to the people who have seen these videos posted in a different thread before. I honestly didn't know. You have to realise that this forum moves insanely fast, I check it daily and can't keep up.

I own GT4P and those tests do ring a bell. I was told it was from GT4 and didn't question that. Thats my mistake (if only we'd have GT4 yet).

There probably are a lot more useful and constructive ways to spend your time rather than posting negative comments.

I actually watched his right foot throtteling and lifting of the gas and must say he does a pretty fine job.

Maybe he is indeed driving himself???

Wow that's scary; the chinese super humans coming to conquer us all

Guys, you HAVE GOT to be kidding me!!!!!! No way that split-eyed is driving that!!! He is going all zigzag with the steering wheel and the car is just going straigh ahead.... helloooooo, is anybody there?!

What a cool little kid, even if he isn't playing the game he is so interested. I wish that my younger brothers were interested in GT, they just want to play Ratchet and Clank :)

I drive GT with a regular dualshock 2 controller so I can't say if the driving shown on the screen does what is shown by the kid at the wheel.

It still looks real to me.

Are there any experienced steeringwheel drivers around here to comment on the kid's skills?

the reasont he car may not be so "responsive" is its a 900 Degree wheel, so in order for lil tyke to spin out he'd have to turn it the wohle 900 degrees?

I think hes driving it.

I feel..so..much..smaller..inside....

No, that is the kid driving, and I don't need to watch the screen to see that. Look, he is a frickin 4 year old, and 4 year old's can't act. The look of pleasure on his face after he gets gold is genuine.

well if its a replay, in the first video, not only has he learned the movies of the wheel, but he knows exactly when to push the gas pedal... i certainly looks like he's driving.

that little dude is japanese not chinese
and the video title stated he is 3 years old
if his parents rich enough, we may see him doing JGTC race

btw, I wish more chinese guys good at racing in the future
since not many chinese who are good at racing and get famous

edit> I taught my friend's 3 yo son to play burnout 3 yesterday (with DS2)
he couldn't even co-ordinate his hands without watching them
maybe his parents never buy him video games
and all he knows is Pokemon ... :yuck:

just skipped a post... but Christmas, that's not a 900' wheel, that's the 200' wheel from logitech.

I haven't touched GT4 so far, but racing with the DFP on PC (F1, Burns) and on Ps2 in GT3, i can say i jerk the wheel arround like that often. Quick turns make the wheel slide on the tarmal rather then really turn, so its a quick way to reajust your heading. A normal run in Richard Burns rally have you do that all the time.

Apclps, I wasn't have a go at you in particular. Perhaps if you had worded your thread a little different and not being so judgemental in your initial observations towards GT4, especially considering that you own GT4P. Don't go off hearsay that some bloke told you down the maket and you won't end up with negative replies to "your" thread.
A little observation here and there can sometimes make all the difference.

No hard feelings.

However, since GT4P is a preview of GT4, it would have been possible for them to include the same (or atleast a similar test).

Thats really great maybe it can be fake but it's still fun to see. And especially when he crosses the finish line he smiles at the camera.

If I have a kid later he will be doing that too!!! All the people with daughters can be jealous now :)

Just a small question since I don't own GT4 or a DF wheel. Is there any option that sets the steering wheel to go back and forth by itself during a replay. I see wheels in the arcades all the time that are spinning back and forth with no one driving. I don't ask this cause i think the videos fake, but i do think it would be cool too download some saves of people drifting or driving really well and having my hands on the steering wheel to see what their movements were like.
