I like custom cars like the Bu-wiked, but I also want the original aswell.

Well, I personaly believe that Bugatti is in, particularly the 1994 EB110 GT, that was a nice car, no doubt, but forget about the Veyron. As for Koenigsegg, I'd like to have them but they have a deal with Microsoft for Forza tough I don't have a clue if the deal is an exclusive licensing, so I can't tell

BTW, the list is very good, 359.

See ya :sly:
The reason I didn't mention the EB110 is because of the difficult licensing. I believe the EB consisted of parts from other, well known manufacturers. That is because the money for development ran out, which eventually caused them to go bankrupt.

SLR McLaren ('03)

is there a screenie or confirmation of this??

Yes, its confirmed to be in the game, but theres no screenshot do to it coming from a well known japanese magazines car list..... :sly:

actually there is a screen... not of it driving, but one of the menu screens from a recent asian mag article has the SLR @ the top it with what looks like specs underneath. it's been posted here in one of the other threads.

Yea, your right.......damn do to this long wait seems I'm lossing it already.... :scared:

Is the 1985 RX-7 on the list the first generation bodystyle?

Also, I noticed that there are three Cosmos on the demo list:
1967 Mazda Cosmo Sport
1967 Mazda Cosmo Sports (L10A)
1968 Mazda Cosmo Sports (L10B)

The first one isn't on this list.

First of all as a new member..... this site dedicated to the best racing game on PS2 is awesome. Was amazed by the amount of screenshots and video's. By the way the carlist is excellent The359..... I only miss a few cars that were in GT2.

For example the stunning Renault Espace F1 and the Lotus Elise GT1 (which was a really nice car to drive I think)

Also with a lot of LM cars to be in the game (BWM V12, Sauber C9 and CLK-GTR YES!!!) I don't understand why the Le Mans circuit is not in it.

where is the bugatti vehron? this car has a quad turbo w16(vw engine)
rated at 1001 hp. Oh and it costs 1 million dollars. I hope they didnt leave it out. Whats the deal with porsche too. I see the RUF's.

just a quick correction, The Bughatti is now rated by the factory at 1100 HP. It seems that while the aero team is trying to do away with high speed lift problems that the engine guys didnt take time off.

First of all its Bugatti Veyron........anyhow this isn't a wishlist nor a "is this car going to be in" thread......the cars that are as of now confirmed are in the first page of this thread.......nevertheless there hasnt been word of those wonderful machines to be in the game....therefore theres not Veyron or EB110.......

Anyways Welcome to GTPlanet Daveslave....and have a wonderful day....:sly:

Welcome to GTP daveslave, I shudder to think what you get up to with your lady :P

Sorry, wrong, the Bugatti is now rated at 980hp because they cannot keep it cooled properly at 1001hp.

MazdaZXi
So what's a car built by Mine's/Amuse/Spoon if it's not a 'customized' car? Different approach sure, but it's the same deal. And I don't think anybody can say they haven't 'customized' a car in GT1/2/3, putting a race exhaust and new set of wheels on a car does exactly that.

The more specials the better in my view!

Back to topic... ;)

Well, I undersatnd his point MazdaZXi. I too am not happy about the inclusion of such cars ie Buwicked, Jay Leno's tank car, Nike car and all crap like that. Tuned cars yes but odd balls like those, no thanks.

See ya :sly:

I thought the 1001 HP number as rated in DIN and that would translate to roughly 980+ HP. Or have they decreased the power?

They decreased the power and put a speed limiter on it for safety reasons. The engine was generating too much heat (hence why the car kept getting more and more holes and vents everytime it was shown) and it was becoming aerodynamically unstable at high speeds.

Just look at the first page.

ACURA (6 - 0 - 0)
CL 3.2 Type-S ('00)
CL 3.2 Type-S ('03)
Integra Type-R ('01)
NSX ('04)
RSX ('01)
RSX Type-S ('04)

Just a quick point that I haven't seen anybody else mention; many people seem to have assumed that the cars of all of GT's previous incarnations will be included. This simply isn't logical. With the improved digitising techniques now required all of the previous cars would have to be re-scanned.

That said, I'm still hoping for a few of my old favourites to return: Aston Martin DB6, Mini Cooper Mk1 rally car, and the F1 Espace spring to mind.

I know the list is still incomplete and that this isn't a wishlist, but I still see a few surprisingly significant cars omitted, mostly classics. Why no classic Aston DB models? No Jaguar Mk2 (Jaguar's most successful circuit car) or the Broadspeed Big Cat XJ12 (wishful thinking). BMW CSL 'Batmobile'? DeLorean DMC12 (surely that other DeLorean is a mis-print?), Lotus Esprit S1, and, possibly most surprising of all, no 1920's 'Blower' Bentley.

There are a few though. The Mk1 esprit is in, as is the mk1 golf. I agree it is a shame a few classics such as the DB5 have not made it so far, but there is still much fun to be had with what we've already got. :)

what brown
seeing as how chrysler is in the game, how could they not include the me412? 12 cyclinder, quad turbo, over 800 horse and it looks mean.

I think what we get is a mix between how much time and space they have and how many of these cars they can get a hold of for testing. I'm pretty sure one of the reasons (aside from the obvious market bias) that so many Japanese cars are in the game is because it's very easy for them to get hold of one of the cars to test it. They could have been testing Japanese cars throughout the developent cycle but for US/Europe market cars they actully have to ship off some staff to harvest data. Unless said car is actully in Japan.

Also to anyone wondering why there are so many clone cars (R34 skylines, Civics, NSX and so on). I believe it is to make the used car market seem more realistic with a higher level of choice. I support this because I'm sure that it doesn't take much time to model a slighty different trim/year. It's a shame not to see the same for the rest of the world's cars however. In an ideal world...

Hi,

Talking about classic cars, what about the 205 GTI (1.6/1.9 whatever)??
In the car list, several 205 T16, but nothing on the only car who was a real match for the Golf GTI mark1.

By the way it is my first message on this great web site!!!
